Great game like in the old times. Better than Galaga ;) That's real fun. Smooth gameplay and much fun. Retro feeling inklusive ;) I play it on the real machine :)

A new Galaga. Made right. This is the so-called "new retro" game. This was released in 2017, but it's a C64 game. This means it's a new game, not from the C64 era, but at the same time, the real retro game, because it was made for an actual retro platform. Unlike many of today's imposter games with "retro" tags, which is basically an excuse for cheap graphics, which will suffer from FPS drops on some old cheap laptop more than capable of running any actual retro DOS game. Galencia isn't that, it's the real thing. It's an interesting trend these days. There are also new NES and SEGA [b]cartrige[/b] games.

This game is a great and very well crafted homage to the classic Galaga. A huge thank you to the developers for bringing the (to my knowledge) first native C64 game to Steam. I hope more C64 devs will follow the lead. The gameplay is simple and addictive, the presentation looks polished. Recommended for everyone who likes oldschool-gameplay in true 8-bit-graphics (and not just 8-bit-look-alike-graphics ;-). A must-buy for every C64 Lover.

Missed my chance to snatch a free key on Reddit, so just went ahead and bought it. Beautiful game, the love poured into it shows everywhere. The C64 had lots of games but no proper Galaga, so, even after all this time, this is really welcome and improves on the original.

It's a fun, classic and very challenging little space shooter! This is a slightly changed version, adapted for Steam, from the Commodore 64. I've hardly noticed any input lag at all, and the emulation seeems to run perfectly lag free, locked and sync'd at 50hz PAL, so everything moved about smooth as butter. All this is currently running on VICE 3.1 emulation. The music sounds very nice, and isn't too repetitive, the graphics and colour pallette usage are well above average. :) Highscores save automatically, can be reset too. You can enable and disable scanlines, too.

Really pleased that this game has made it to steam. It's really decent Galaga clone that was coded on the C64. I've already got the rom for the C64 but i'm happy I can have a quick blast on my PC. I'd love some leaderboards.
