Galaxy Control: 3D Strategy
Ein weiter "Clash of Clans" Clone im futuristischen Look. Das Game wird - trotz fast 10 Jahre am Buckel - regelmäßig upgedatet und verfügt über eine aktive Community. Nicht allzu Pay to Win lastig.
Galaxy Control: 3D Strategy
Another "Clash of Clans" clone with a futuristic look. Despite being almost 10 years old, the game is regularly updated and has an active community. It's not too pay-to-win. If you enjoy online games, like playing in a team, and have plenty of time and patience, then I can still recommend it. However, the game isn't for achievement hunters, as some of the achievements require Facebook and don't actually work.
🎮 A Mobile Port That Should Have Stayed On Mobile - Galaxy Control: 3D Strategy Review
📰 Space strategy games have always held a special place in my heart. The promise of building empires, commanding fleets, and conquering galaxies sounds incredible on paper. Unfortunately, Galaxy Control: 3D Strategy delivers anything but an incredible experience on PC. After spending considerable time with this title, I can confidently say this is a case study in how NOT to port a mobile game to desktop platforms.
🎨 What This Game Tries To Be
🎮 At its core, this is a base-building MMO strategy game set in space. The premise involves gathering resources like minerals and uranium, constructing defensive structures with laser towers and missile launchers, and battling other players for galactic dominance. The concept itself isn't revolutionary, but it has potential when executed properly. ⚖️ The game launched on Steam back in August 2016, making it nearly a decade old at this point. For a live service multiplayer game, that age shows in every conceivable way. Player counts have dwindled to approximately 24 concurrent users on average, which raises serious questions about the longevity of matchmaking and community engagement.
✅ The Few Positive Aspects

✅ The core gameplay concept of space base-building has inherent appeal for strategy fans.
✅ Multiple language support is available including Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, and more.
✅ The game is free-to-play, requiring no upfront investment to try.
✅ The developer FX Games maintains an official website with information about their projects.

❌ The Overwhelming Problems

❌ Severe stability issues plague the PC version with frequent crashes and freezing that force restarts.
❌ Many players report the game simply refuses to launch after updates, leaving them completely locked out as discussed in Steam Community threads.
❌ Program stuttering occurs even on hardware that exceeds the minimal system requirements.
❌ Progress loss happens regularly when the game stalls, wasting hours of gameplay.
❌ Visual glitches including screen color distortion have been reported by multiple users.
❌ Upgrade and action wait times create excessive grinding that hinders gameplay flow.
❌ The game holds a Mixed rating on aggregate review sites, reflecting divided player experiences.
❌ This is clearly a mobile-first design that was poorly adapted for PC controls and interface.

⚖️ The Verdict On Galaxy Control: 3D Strategy
📊 For a multiplayer-focused strategy title, these player numbers are concerning. A dying player base means longer queue times, unbalanced matches, and eventually server shutdowns. The SteamDB data confirms the declining trend over recent years. 🔗 The developer FX Games Media has maintained this title across multiple platforms including mobile app stores and Microsoft Store. However, the PC version through Steam feels like an afterthought. Recent update announcements show the game still receives patches, but core issues remain unaddressed. 💡 For those interested in the community aspect, there is an official Discord server available for player coordination and support discussions at Galaxy Control Discord
📋 Final Recommendation
⚖️ As a professional reviewer, I cannot recommend Galaxy Control: 3D Strategy for PC gamers. The technical foundation is too unstable, and the experience feels rushed and abandoned. Strategy enthusiasts deserve better. 🎮 If you're genuinely interested in this gameplay style, consider trying the mobile version where the game was originally designed to run. For PC strategy fans, there are far superior options available that respect your time, hardware, and investment. ❌ Not Recommended - This title represents everything frustrating about careless mobile-to-PC ports. Skip this one and invest your time elsewhere.
Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile app! This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"Galaxy Control: 3D Strategy" is one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. This is another nasty mobile app cash grab infesting Steam... a "Clash of Clans" type base defense ripoff where the winners are determined by who spends the most money in the toxic mobile app cash shop. More mobile cancer that's incredibly harmful to gamers and the gaming industry. There's only a superficial game here. The game visuals and the game itself are incredibly shallow... think of them as the too-bright, colourful, thin plastic cabinet dress theme on a poker machine at the casino. That's basically what this is. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. This game is fairly dated at 9 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? Definitely not. This isn't worth it. I'm paraphrasing another reviewer here, but this should be a paid product... they'd have to pay people to download it.
Best atmosphere!
