First G-Switch of the series that appears in Steam, and it is a big step compared to the rest. The new levels are finally here and they’re great. They’re hard, really hard, but in a fair way. There aren’t cheap deaths, and even the fast sections that you have to learn by muscle memory don’t feel unfair — there are only a few of those. For 5€, the amount of content you get is honestly impressive. The Level Creator alone is worth the price: tons of tools, tons of freedom, and endless ways to design your own challenges. The official levels really inspire you to experiment with the ideas they introduce. Level 8 is a bossfight — something completely new for the series — and I really like the way the antagonist is handled. It’s a cool idea and a fun change of pace, though I do think it feels a bit short and noticeably easier than the final normal level. With how strong Level 7 is, the ending comes a little faster than expected. Still, the overall game is fantastic. The amount of content for the price make this one of the most complete G-Switch experiences so far. If you enjoy fast-paced precision platformers or grew up with the G-Switch series, this is absolutely worth picking up.
to all people, this game never copied Gravity Guy. G-Switch 1 was released 8 months and 5 days before Gravity Guy and do you know what game actually succeeded despite being accused of copying? G-Switch. and what happened to Gravity Guy? fell off. and also fun fact, the creator of G-Switch actually worked together with Miniclip to create Gravity Guy lol.
I've just beat the main game, so here's my thoughts. Fantastic game, I played the other G-Switch games back in the day, me and my friends would all play the multiplayer mode against each other in the computer lab at school, I didn't touch the campaigns until recently when I was replaying a bunch of flash games I used to play, and out of all the G-Switch games this one is simply the best. -Music is great, and the inclusion of all the other games OSTs in the level editor is a really nice touch. -Level design is great, each level has a new gimmick and often has gimmicks from the previous levels too, and they're all taught through gameplay, except for the dash, which has a pop-up tutorial, but I see why since it changes how you actually control in the air which no other mechanic does. -The art is gorgeous, especially the backgrounds, a big step up from every other game in the series. -The game is pretty difficult, it's a very reaction time heavy game, I certainly felt in some parts of the later levels you had to be pretty much perfect in your button presses to pass certain obstacles, but, your mileage will vary, I don't have the quickest response time. -The level creator is cool and easy to use, I haven't messed around with it too much yet, however, I couldn't find one of the level hazards seen in the campaign, the rolling spike balls, maybe it's part of the unlock system so I'll edit this out later if so, but if it isn't available in the editor that would be a nice addition. -Level browser, I don't have much to say about it, it works as well as it needs to, though the addition of a 'clear rate' filter and 'level name search' would be nice. The amount of content you're getting even excluding all of the user made stuff is immense, 16 single player levels including the normal and hard mode variants, 6 for the multiplayer mode, and a progression system that unlocks new characters and backgrounds for the player made levels. So even if you only play through the main campaign you're still gonna get bang for your buck. I highly recommend the game, I'm looking forward to the developers next project.
the voice in my head G-switched on my 4 till i creator
a very serius game indeed
G-Switch 4's an almost perfect sequel and a great way to conclude the series. The level design is great and the introduction of the new mechanics is neat and really eases you in, as they're simple to comprehend and use. The replayability is also outstanding, with features such as the level editor, playable community-made levels, unlockable characters and maps, etc. The music in this game is great, with tracks coming from Aleix Ramon accompanied by Francisco Furtado's older music from previous G-Switch titles. Overall, the game is very satisfying, and you get a lot of content. Is it worth the price? Absolutely. Go ahead and support Vasco and everyone who contributed to it by buying the game, it's completely worth it.
excelente juego y ya
It would be better if there was no limit to the amount of tiles you can place in the editor, I really want to make a level that is 10-20 minutes long. =)
Wow, I'm honestly amazed... The main thing that motivated me to beat all of the story levels was the story and it was worth it. 8/10. Would strongly recommend.
