It is a great game, but the camera is awful.

Future Tanks Area is an arcade-like low poly third person/top down (it's hard to say) vehicle shooter where you control a blocky tank and ramble through various levels blasting all your enemies. It's not the worst premise for a game but the implementation is a let down. First up you do get to set the game resolution, so that's a plus. Unfortunately that's about all you can set... there's an ugly screen filter making everything look bloomy and blurry... the game just looks bad because of that and there's no substantial graphics tweaks to try fix the problem. I also don't think this is an asset flip, it seems to be sincerely made, just badly. It's clunky and unpleasant to play... like, there's NO camera controls, so you just have to aim blindly at the side of the screen sometimes hoping you can hit what's shooting you. A laughably bad defect. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game only ever reached a peak player count of only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. Gamers just didn't take this seriously, and for good reason. Future Tanks Area is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
A very good game in a retro climate. If you like old school arcade games (music and atmosphere) this is the title for you to spend your free time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- By far the worst game (releasing in 2021) that i´ve played this year. I know it´s an indie title, but sorry it´s really totaly broken and terrible in current state. Graphical issues almost every time like textures dissapearing. Bugs like the unit (Tank) you control dissapearing under the level (ground texture). Only the turret remains then on display. The control of your unit (the tank) is completely broken and makes the game unplayable in later levels. I know it´s an small budget indie title for a low price, but sorry it still had never should been released in this completely broken and terrible state. The gameplay itself is ok for the most part, but the sheer amount of enmies running the screen and bombs you have to avoid hitting combined with that terrible and broken controls makes it absolutely unplayable.
