Full Stride

As a fan of Gallop Racer and GI Jockey games, this was a nice and refreshing new game. I will say that there are some issues or changes that would overall help the game. I know the developer is working on fixes bugs so I will leave those out of this review. I would like there to be more of a grind with the game. Having some jockey stats and skills to level would be nice and obviously adding in breeding (which might already be in the works). I do wish there was a info/explanation button on the horse stats screen as sometimes "cornering" or "spirit" may not interact in the way we believe. Also please add a pause button during the race, sometimes we just need to pause. I know this was intended to be a jockey sim game but it is still a game at the end of the day. Adding another row of horse stall would be nice too but maybe that would come with breeding. I see huge potential with this game and I am excited to see where the developer goes from here.

i can only very hesitantly recommend it in its current state, overall the game still feels quite unpolished and more like a beta build contrary to what one would expect from a full release, but there is still fun to be had in the racing alone (more on that) the main menu seems fine but quite rudimentary, no preliminary screens to set up your jockey's name and silks, etc (but they can still be done from the main menu) racing itself is fun once you figure out, and you will need to figure it out because there are no options for bindings in settings, nor is there a tutorial to get you up to scratch with how the controls (and mechanics) work i do still have faith that the developer(s) will upgrade the game over time so i won't be refunding it, but if you're weary about buying it with all this in mind save your money for now and wait, especially if you're one of those like me which have been waiting for this game to come out for the past few months ahead of its original Q1 release aim
