About
FRUSTRAIN is a first-person anti-utopian adventure blending psychological horror, environmental puzzles, and surreal storytelling.
The game unfolds over a single night, seen through the eyes of several passengers suffering from insomnia aboard a never-ending train. Each chapter tells the story of one of them — the conductor, the journalist, the prisoner, and others — revealing how their memories and fears overlap inside this claustrophobic journey through a surreal Eastern European world.

As the player moves through the carriages and dives into distorted dreamscapes, reality begins to unravel. Every object, sound, and conversation becomes a piece of a greater puzzle — a reflection of guilt, repression, and the desperate human need to make sense of fear.

Multi-Perspective Storytelling — experience one night through the eyes of several insomniac passengers whose memories and perceptions intertwine.
A Surreal Eastern-European Dystopia — explore dreamlike spaces inspired by post-Soviet architecture, propaganda cinema, and anxious noir.
Environmental Puzzles with Psychological Meaning — solve puzzles woven into the train’s machinery and the characters’ subconscious.
Exploration Across Shifting Realities — travel between waking life, memory, and dream fragments.
Story-Rich Psychological Horror — uncover the truth hidden beneath repression and guilt.
VR Support — immerse yourself completely in the surreal world with SteamVR-compatible headsets.
