Boring gameplay if you upgrade the wrong skills you will have double the playtime. but if you upgrade the right once around 60 minutes playtime. most is just grinding and hoping for good rng on gear
This is game is entertaining. I feel like that that its almost like an idle game but it is not. I'm half way between liking or not liking this game. I do say if you are interested in this game give it a try. It's nothing great but it not's bad either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIIvGnzX23Q

Meh. Entertaining for an hour or two while you figure out how the game works. Loot rng is kinda fun. Skills are wildly unbalanced, but that doesn't make them bad. I enjoyed my time playing, but it's nothing I'll remember in another month.
Frostford is a compact strategy RPG that embraces classic fantasy themes while focusing heavily on progression and tactical character development. Developed by Uberbax and BratAndonik and published by UberbaxGaming, the game places players in a kingdom devastated by catastrophic earthquakes. These disasters have torn open the land and unleashed dangerous creatures that quickly seized control of the region’s cities. As the lone hero capable of pushing back the invasion, players embark on a campaign to liberate Frostford one settlement at a time, restoring hope to a world on the brink of collapse. Rather than delivering an expansive narrative filled with complex characters and branching storylines, Frostford concentrates on creating a rewarding gameplay loop. The plot serves as a backdrop for a series of strategic battles that gradually increase in difficulty. This straightforward structure works well because it allows the game to focus on what it does best: character growth, combat, and progression. Every conquered city feels like a meaningful accomplishment, reinforcing the sense that the player is steadily reclaiming the kingdom from overwhelming odds. Character advancement is at the center of the experience. Defeating enemies rewards players with experience, new equipment, artifacts, and opportunities to strengthen their hero through attribute upgrades. The progression system is simple enough to understand quickly but offers enough depth to keep players invested throughout the campaign. Each improvement has a noticeable impact on performance, making every victory feel worthwhile. The constant stream of upgrades ensures that players are rarely left wondering what their next objective should be. The game's customization options provide another layer of engagement. Players can unlock and utilize six unique skills while researching a collection of eighteen talents that further enhance their effectiveness. These systems encourage experimentation and allow different approaches to combat. Some players may focus on maximizing offensive power, while others might prioritize survivability or strategic versatility. Although the number of available abilities is not enormous compared to larger RPGs, the options available are sufficient to create distinct playstyles and maintain interest over multiple sessions. Combat encounters form the backbone of Frostford's gameplay. The campaign consists of ten major battles spread across different cities, with more than twenty enemy types standing in the player's way. The variety of opponents prevents battles from becoming completely repetitive and encourages players to adapt their tactics as new threats emerge. Success is not solely dependent on higher statistics; effective use of skills, equipment, and character specialization can significantly influence outcomes. This strategic element gives the game a satisfying layer of depth despite its relatively modest scale. Loot collection also plays an important role in maintaining player motivation. With over one hundred items available, players are frequently rewarded with new gear and useful resources. Artifacts add further incentives by providing additional bonuses and strengthening the sense of progression. The steady acquisition of equipment creates a satisfying cycle of battle, reward, and improvement that keeps the experience moving forward at a comfortable pace. Fans of RPGs that emphasize constant advancement will likely find this aspect particularly appealing. Visually, Frostford adopts a simple presentation that prioritizes functionality over spectacle. The graphics are modest and clearly reflect the game's indie origins, but they effectively communicate important gameplay information and maintain a coherent fantasy atmosphere. While players seeking cutting-edge visuals may not be impressed, the art style supports the game's mechanics without becoming distracting. Combined with lightweight hardware requirements, this accessibility makes the game easy to enjoy on a wide range of systems. The game's greatest weakness is its limited scope. The campaign can be completed relatively quickly, and some players may wish for additional battles, deeper storytelling, or more extensive content. However, Frostford never pretends to be a massive role-playing epic. Instead, it offers a focused and streamlined adventure centered on strategic combat and meaningful progression. By keeping its ambitions realistic, the game succeeds in delivering an enjoyable experience without overstaying its welcome. Overall, Frostford is a charming indie strategy RPG that understands the appeal of steady character growth and rewarding combat. Its combination of skill development, talent research, item collection, and tactical encounters creates an engaging gameplay loop that remains entertaining throughout the campaign. While its presentation and content volume are modest, the game's strengths lie in its accessibility, progression systems, and satisfying sense of advancement. Players looking for a concise fantasy strategy RPG with clear goals and rewarding mechanics will find plenty to appreciate here. Rating: 5/10
