FrightShow Fighter

This game is anime as ♥♥♥♥, 10/10. It's really hard to fuzzy guard Xonolox though, his mixups are unreal. I recommend Faceless if you want to seriously learn the intricacies of this game.

[h2]FrightShow is really a frightening, imperfect, painful to play indie game.[/h2] The theme has a nightmare before Xmas/Clay Fighter vibe going for it, which was enough to get me to try it. I only waited five years to play it. There are sooo many issues to be discovered while playing this game. Fun! The achievements are bugged or at least some are. After my very first fight the game simultaneously unlocked seven achievements some of which shouldn't have popped after one fight. I'm looking at you, Mega Frighter! The difficulty of the game is laughably easy. Playing on easy is like punching a training dummy. Normal mode is just fighting against a hopeless opponent that jumps and sometimes fights back. As for hard, well it's certainly not hard at all. The AI makes no sense. When I get the opponent's health down to around less than three hits, he just ducks and cowers in the corner waiting for me to end the misery. I guess this would be a good time to perform a special move that I quite haven't figured out. The Cyclops, Krumble Jack is the most awkward character to play. He's just so stiff and has the worst animations of all the characters. Fullscreen mode is sooo lovely to play in while it cuts off about 1/6th of the bottom of my 1440p screen. So I was forced to play in windowed mode which you can't even maximize at the very least. Jeesh! Versus mode won't work with just a keyboard and one controller. You'll need two controllers to get versus mode to work. The only real good thing about the game is the music/sound is decent. I mean the art is not horrible, and having an undead unicorn gets bonus points. At least I think it's undead? My wife is a major Tim Burton fan, so I bought this mainly for her benefit--too bad it's awful. This game is good conceptually, but that's it. Even with the recent patch, the actual fighting is arguably the worst I've ever experienced in a fighting game... and I played Fighting Masters. :( The game encourages running into your opponent like an idiot and button mashing, so there is no feeling of accomplishment whatsoever upon victory. This game needs a serious overhaul to be worth even a couple modest dollars.

looks cool and has decent music, thats about it. combat is is pure garbage 2/10 into to the trashcan that is my hidden game abyss with you

Amei o jogo Os gráficos feitos á mão dão um detalhe diferenciado e divertido. Os personagens também são bem legaizinhos de se jogar. Os tipos de ataques são poucoas, mas quand se pega a manha dos especiais e combos começa a ficar mais divertido. É um jogo para se jogar em dois. O Story Mode é dazora, mas pode parecer repetitivo.

Great party game!

Listen, this game is jank. There's no denying that. Not every game is meant to be a perfect game with fantastic mechanics. Some games exist simply because somebody wanted it to exist, and let me tell you, i'm glad this game exists! Each character has their own little charm, with a fun little style that is reminiscent of Tim Burton mish-mashed with Psychonauts. The overall gameplay ideas are easy enough to work with, and the item system allows for players to build around their own styles! It's jank, but it's got spunk!
