Forward Assault is a tactical multiplayer shooter developed by Lucas Wilde and published by Blayze Games, L.L.C. that makes a clear effort to bring the familiar tension of classic counter-terrorist versus terrorist gameplay to a modern free-to-play audience. Having built a reputation on mobile platforms before arriving on Steam, the game enters a fiercely competitive market with an emphasis on accessibility, quick matches, and a low hardware requirement. While it doesn't attempt to challenge the biggest names in the genre, it succeeds in offering an approachable experience for players who simply want to jump into objective-based firefights without spending hours learning complicated systems. The game's foundation is built around traditional bomb defusal scenarios, where teamwork and map awareness are often more important than reflexes alone. Players can choose between opposing factions and participate in rounds that reward communication, tactical positioning, and efficient use of resources. Additional modes such as Team Deathmatch and Gun Game provide welcome alternatives, allowing players to enjoy shorter and more chaotic sessions when they want a break from the slower pace of objective-focused combat. Matches are easy to get into, and the controls feel intuitive enough that even newcomers to tactical shooters can quickly understand the basics. Forward Assault also benefits from several features that help extend its longevity. Weapon skins, character customization, and unlockable content provide players with goals beyond simply winning matches. More importantly, the inclusion of a map editor gives the community an opportunity to contribute directly to the game's future. User-generated content has historically played a significant role in keeping multiplayer titles alive, and its implementation here demonstrates an appreciation for community involvement. Cross-platform support further strengthens the experience by ensuring a larger player base and reducing concerns about finding matches during off-peak hours. From a visual standpoint, the game remains modest. Environments are designed with functionality in mind, prioritizing clear sightlines and readability over graphical spectacle. The maps are varied enough to encourage different tactics, though some players may find the overall presentation lacking when compared to contemporary shooters on PC. Character animations and environmental details are adequate, but rarely memorable. Nevertheless, the game's lightweight nature is one of its biggest advantages, as it runs comfortably on a wide range of systems and allows players with less powerful hardware to participate without sacrificing performance. Where Forward Assault struggles is in its inability to distinguish itself from the many tactical shooters already available. Its mechanics are dependable but familiar, and veterans of the genre may feel they have seen everything the game offers within a few hours. The progression systems, while functional, are relatively straightforward, and the overall package occasionally feels more like an adaptation of established ideas rather than a title with its own distinct identity. Technical inconsistencies and occasional rough edges can also impact the experience, particularly for players expecting a highly polished competitive environment. Even so, there is value in simplicity. Forward Assault understands that not every multiplayer shooter needs to be an esports phenomenon. It offers an easy entry point for casual players, supports community creativity through its editing tools, and provides enough variety to remain entertaining in shorter play sessions. Its free-to-play model makes experimentation risk-free, and players looking for a lightweight tactical shooter may find themselves pleasantly surprised by what it offers. In the end, Forward Assault is a solid and accessible shooter that delivers exactly what it promises: classic team-based combat, customizable experiences, and fast-paced multiplayer action. Although it falls short of becoming a standout title in an overcrowded genre, it remains an enjoyable option for players seeking a familiar tactical experience without an upfront cost. Lucas Wilde and Blayze Games, L.L.C. have created a game that prioritizes accessibility over innovation, and while that decision may limit its long-term appeal, it also ensures that almost anyone can pick it up and have fun. cs clone without the buying of weapons part...love the team deathmatch mode
Amazing
This time, i downloaded from steam, not crazygames anymore, and finally i have every wepaon :D! I love this game, its lighter than cs2 and offers almost everything same, less cheaters and a better playability, but i want to suggest, that hatchet would cost same amount as the butterflyknife, would this be possible?
