Forbidden Dojo

This is one of those "maybe if it is on sale" type recommendations. For the hard core AVN folks, I would say maybe try it free before you buy, otherwise pass on it. For the others, I think it is deep discounted now so maybe you might want to try. Pretty simple story, very little character development, the "action" is not controllable, and as one very good reviewer said, just a lot of unnecessary screen after screen dialogue that doesn't add any thing and just seems to make the game appear longer. Except for the end third choices don't really matter-- I did need to use the guide for the last 3 achievements which were not logical to achieve (I like achievements that test but are fair); while the others occur from just playing the game. The renderings are ok, the xxx scenes pretty standard nothing to bad but not outstanding either. I finished because once I pay for a game I generally want to finish it. I was interested in the ending and accomplishing the goals of keeping the witch from ruling the universe. Although the MC is not given a lot of control, and somethings and decisions I would not have made, I did want to finish. The developer left possible sequels, but since this game is almost 3 years old, you can go to his website and see that they have moved on. Looking over his history, I would be careful about being a patron. I purchased this along with some other games a while ago, before I read both steam and F95 reviews. I am now trying to do a better job of reading reviews. So, take it for what it is worth-- your time or not.

El planteamiento del juego es interesante. Pero lamentablemente su trama, su jugabilidad, sus personajes, sus animaciones y escenas son demasiado simples. No resiste la comparación con otras novelas visuales de nivel medio. Aún así tiene una completa galería, avance automático. Dispone de numerosas elecciones y aunque hay alguna importantes para acceder a las escenas, otras elecciones no parecen afectar demasiado al avance de la trama. Hay cinco finales diferentes. La recomiendo sólo a quien le guste el concepto de la historia, a quien no exija una gran calidad y la adquiera a un precio que considere razonable.

The story is quite decent, and there is a good amount of content here. However, I do feel that the game is very drawn out which negatively affected the pacing. That aside, it's a good buy, especially if you're partial towards feet.

This is a very close thumbs up for me. The visuals are very good but the story felt like it was the skeleton of a story and needed much fleshing out. It seemed like a storyboard where it just showed the bare minimum keyframes and people appear and disappear with zero fanfare, and time goes by in weeks with people acting like puppets rather than real people. Writing felt quite dumbed down and more than a little empty. But there's a good foundation for a decent story here. Needs a decent writer.

For me it´s dificult to read this AVN, because I get the feeling that the pacing isn´t right. The story is okay i think but the characters lack depth and overall there are way too few characters in this. It´s a thumbs up yes, but it could be way better than it is.

A decent adult visual novel that has a little adventure, most of the 'scenes' are good, the descriptive text is a lot at time but there are decisions that are made that will result in 5 endings. 7/10
