About

Hunt through abandoned campsites, old watchtowers, cabins and cave systems. Explore in any direction you choose and survey the landscape to gain an upper hand in your hunts, for it might be wise to diverge from the beaten path…

Each hunt has its own fully handcrafted environment and story to tell. Discover clues, follow maps, solve puzzles, and survive harsh environments all while uncovering unspoken mysteries.
Only the greatest supernatural hunters will stand a chance of slaying the beast. Many have tried, many have failed. You will need to use all your stops to win this battle of wills. Hunt smart.

Scavenge for extra ammo, cameras, traps, meat, and other helpful resources to assist with the hunt. An expert hunter will find a way to get the job done with the options presented to them.
Traps and cameras are a vital part of a supernatural hunter’s arsenal. Place them whenever, wherever, and however you like in order to have eyes anywhere on the map. But be careful, you never know what might be looking at you on the other end.

Play hunts and take contracts together with full online multiplayer co-op with an unlimited number of friends. Gather your hunting party, strategize together, and unlock the secrets of the forest with your friends.

Take what you have learned and gathered, then head back to the Fortress, where you can unlock and purchase new gear to help you in the next hunt. Be careful though, if you die in a hunt, you don't always bring everything back…

Even after discovering all the creatures Folklore Hunter has to offer, there is always someone out there willing to hire expert hunters for new jobs! Take a contract from the notice board at the Fortress and complete a randomized hunt where no two expeditions are the same.

its hard but fun
I really enjoyed playing the game, a few moments actually managed to give me the creeps. Knowing that the devs are local is also a huge bonus, I really hope there are most creatures added in the future or perhaps a new game that is similar
Just got through 100% achievement hunting this game on my twitch stream with some friends. Overall the game is pretty good, took some problem solving to lead us in the right direction the first time as to what to do since the game just throws you in there. Overall it was a pretty good monster hunting game, I like the directional sound when a certain monster is talking to you (without spoilers haha) and the overall flow of the movement. The game kept getting a bit framey for me and I wish the maps were randomly generated as we were able to speed run a couple hunts pretty quickly. I also wish that there was a way to label which friend in game was which on the map as well as which camera # was which. The lore is pretty neat & I look forward to the devs adding more to the game in the future. It def. needs more content. Thanks for the codes devs!
4/10 - Fun at First, But Wears Thin Folklore Hunter starts off fun, with a solid atmosphere and some genuinely funny jump scares, but it wears thin fast. With no tutorial and no good guidance on with the extremely obscure clues. After about nine hours I was bored... the creatures get predictable, the maps don't change enough, and what starts as tense turns mundane. The loot chests also feel out of place, scattered in spots that make no sense, like the middle of the forest on the Wendigo map. For a $17.99 indie game, I 'm not sure it's worth the price. There's a fun experience buried here, but it runs out of steam well before you'd expect. I believe it is worth a look on sale if you like creature-hunting games, but don't expect it to hold your attention.
Night of the Wendigo is by far the most nuanced hunt. Bloodfang Forest is a lot of fun and gives some variety. Blackwing is more so telling a story than actually playing a game. Overall I think this game is a lot of fun!
не ну так то четкая игра, в ней можно делать абсолютно них*я
This game is disgustingly repetitive, theres no high stakes, even a retarded toddler could strafe the monster. if i wanted to solve puzzles i would play a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobile game 0/10 game.
I certainly liked this game, made me feel uneasy at times which I guess that was the point. I just don't understand why only the 3 cryptids. I think the devs could have done more like a witch or bigfoot but itis what it is. Anyway this is way more fun and creepy to do solo so I recommend just that, do it solo.
great game there are a few bugs but otherwyse good making mod importing easyr would be nice
SUPER fun just needs more monsters to hunt.
