Flute Master

I bought this in the groupees bundle after it had been on my wishlist for a long time. I haven't played any instruments since the 5th grade, which was about 35 years ago! So I wanted to get into music as something else to do besides video games and work (really!). I am a mix of several celtic ancestries so the bagpipes, bodhran, and tinwhistle/penny flute are of interest to me. The flute was by far the cheapest to buy, even cheaper than a recorder. So a while back I bought a book and I played a bit and can play a couple of tunes, but now I am trying a mix of gaming and music and I really like it. The game interface is easy, and with a decent headset with mic you can play. I play a C tinwhistle and it works fine. The software is picking it up with nearly perfect accuracy, which is good since my notes are far from perfect. The game is aimed clearly at elementary kids; as a grown up don't let that dissuade you because it is a good time very releaxing, though each level ups the challenge quite a bit. I played alot of RockBand on Wii years ago, and it is like the level progression there... ramps up quick. Level 1 is just one note, level 2 is two, etc. presumably until you are playing all six notes on a recorder / pennywhistle. I can only assume that it then goes into half notes (which I struggle with) and more complicated melodies, fingering, and breathing techniques. I look forward to it! So if you like the idea of rocksmith and don't want to go buy a guitar and cable, get this and a recorder or flute for the price of just the cable for rocksmith and see if these kinds of music progression games are your thing. This is a real instrument and you will see real notes as you progress, not a game pad like Rockband has (though I loved those games!). 10/10 for 20cents in a bundle, and I think it would be 5/10 at full price as there are 30 tunes in 10 levels to keep you busy for 10+ hours.

Really great game, has the potential of helping a sad dragon which I'm a fan of. I like dragons. I couldnt actually help him though because I dont have a flute or a recorder and he seemed disgruntled by me blowing into the microphone. Sorry Cornelius the sad dragon. I've failed you. I'm sad now

É mais do que um jogo, é uma ferramenta de aprendizado musical. De forma bem didatica e ludica esse "jogo" te ensina como tocar uma flauta doce, ideal para quem nunca teve contato nenhum com musica e muito bom para quem como eu já toca algum instrumentos e quer aprender outro. O "jogo" além de mostrar como funciona o sistema de notas da lauta, tanto naturais como acidentes, também te da lições de musica ensinando como funciona uma partitura e escalas. Realmente vale a pena adquirir esse programa caso você queira aprender um instrumento novo ou estudar um pouco de musica básica.

Music Teacher, here. Completed the game in 65 minutes (completely hammered, no less). This will be fantastic for my kids. The kind of thing I will geek out about and they will get excited over. On sale at 5.99, good deal. Watch out for the fingering given for 'low f' (f on the staff), as a lot of recorders (Baroque/English) use a different one for tuning purposes. This game was made for the German soprano recorder, which is a bit out of style- the fingerings are easier for beginners with the German, but it's harder to stay in tune. Just keep that in mind, and the game will be amazing!

Vou contar um segredo. O sonho da minha vida é ser um famoso flautista. Midira, é ganhar na loteria, mas enquanto isso não acontece, vou tentando aprender a tocar flauta (vai que a carreira de flautista da certo)... -------------------------------------- Mas vamos ao que interessa, o jogo: -------------------------------------- Bem, pra começo de conversa (ou de jogatina), você vai precisar de uma flauta, aquelas que voce encontra por 5 pila num camelô por aí. Sem uma flauta vai ser complicado jogar (e você não conseguirá realizar seu sonho de ser flautista, já que ganhar na loteria ta dificil). A interface do jogo é bem intuitiva, e, de certo modo, um tanto quanto infantil, acredito que seja justamente essa a proposta do jogo (inclusive já vi algo a respeito dele ser usado pra ensinar crianças em algumas escolas musicais). Mas tô nem aí, o que importa é aprender a tocar a bendita flauta. O jogo começa "aos poucos", uma nota por vez. No começo parece chato tocar só uma nota durante a musica toda, mas quando chega lá pra 5 nota, meu filho, tu nao sabe mais nem o que ta fazendo, e pensa: - PQP! Tava melhor só com uma nota mesmo. Mas, enfim, aos poucos você vai pegando o jeito. O melhor de tudo é que o jogo possui também as partituras das músicas (Tá certo que eu não entendo bolhufas, mas tá lá pra quem quiser ver). Depois de meia hora (e meio litro de saliva pra todos os lados), posso dizer que é melhor eu continuar jogando na loteria. NUNCA IMAGINEI QUE FOSSE TAO F.... TOCAR ESSE TREM! Sem contar que os cachorros aqui de casa ficam malucos quando começo a tocar, acho que isso é um sinal que tem algo de errado que não está certo, devo ser péssimo mesmo. ------------------------------------- Brincadeiras à parte, é um ótimo passatempo, diga-se de passagem. ------------------------------------- Parabéns aos desenvolvedores. Achei algo realmente bacana e diferente de tudo que já joguei. Apesar de eu ter ganho o jogo em um sorteio, compraria o mesmo sem dúvida nenhuma. 11/10

Lembra daquela velha flauta que você tem guardada que não usava desde a 2ª série do ensino fundamental? Então pega ela lá agora, e vamos praticar! É um jogo na minha opinião para todas as idades, pois eu mesmo velho fico tocando flauta hahaha. É um jogo com potencial imenso, e exclusivamente único na steam. É como se fosse um Rocksmith só que no lugar de uma guitarra você precisa de uma flauta! Quando você ver vai estar tocando que nem Beethoven, dando orgulho pra mamãe! Recomendo! Nota: 9/ 10 Pra 10 falta lançar mais músicas (em breve) e quem sabe poder adcionar musicas para fazer que nem no jogo e poder compartilhar pela steam :)

O jogo e simplesmente fantastico e inovador, eu sou músico, e posso dizer que o jogo e um otimo material de aprendizagem pra quem nunca sonho em tocar um instrumento. o jogo começa bem leve e aos pouco ficando dificil. quando você percebe ja esta tocando. Parabenizo a produtora Insignio Labs por ter feito esta obra de arte e a Margarida Costa. Recomendo muito o jogo. e um excelente material didatico.
