As far as anomaly games go, the location in this one is fairly standard. You walk through a short hallway with an office on the left, separated by glass windows and doors, and a small kitchen and storage room on the right, both of which you can enter. The environment is cluttered with objects on the kitchen table, shelves, and office desks, so there is quite a lot to memorize. At first glance, the premise seems simple. You move forward if everything appears normal and turn back if you see an anomaly. In practice, though, the game is far more complicated. You are rarely looking for just a single anomaly, and each floor gives you a new set of rules written on your clipboard. On one floor you might be instructed not to report an anomaly unless it appears twice, while on another you may only report anomalies that happen in the kitchen. These rules change constantly, and understanding them is essential to progressing. Every time you enter a floor, you must inspect each room carefully. Your task is to mark on the clipboard the anomalies that may or may not appear in any of the rooms. A floor can contain multiple anomalies, up to a maximum of three, and you must identify not only their presence but also the correct category of five possible types. After filling out the clipboard, you still need to walk back the same way you came. If you choose the wrong direction on your return path, you are sent all the way back to floor zero. If you miscount the anomalies or misidentify their types, you drop only one level, but it still feels punishing. Unfortunately, the experience quickly stops being enjoyable. The game demands perfect accuracy, and even a tiny overlooked detail forces you to drop in floors. Many loops end with the realization that you missed a barely visible change, and each failure becomes more irritating, especially if you’re at a high floor and drop back to floor zero. After getting thrown back to floor zero a couple of time, I found myself growing more frustrated than engaged. The clipboard rules also lack clarity. One rule tells you to report an anomaly only if it appears in two rooms simultaneously. This creates confusion about what to do if you see the anomaly in only one room. Should you still turn back, or should you ignore it and move forward? Other inconsistencies appear as well. Is the corpse in the storage room an extra object or something else entirely? Does a doll with a changed eye count as an entity or fall into another category? What about a possessed office worker or an eyeball appearing in the kitchen? The game never explains its logic. Because the categories are unclear, you often fail even when you are certain you made the correct choices. The game repeats the same anomalies frequently, but without proper feedback you never know which detail you misjudged. A simple solution would be to show the completed clipboard after each floor and indicate which entries were correct and which ones were wrong. There is potential for fun here, but for most people the experience will shift from intrigue to frustration long before the end. If you want a standard anomaly game, this one is not for you.
impossible game, one of the difficult anomaly games on steam. Its not about to spot an anomaly (it's easy) it's about to categorize them, check them correctly in your list, count the number and reach floor 13. Really pain! Almost 3 hours of gameplay, reached floor 6 of 13.
I play this game in stream and... at first i felt overwhelmed by the instructions at first, but after that I’ve identified the possible anomalies, it’s actually pretty quick to finish. Thanks for the chance to play the game
I'm in the middle for this game. Definitely not my favorite but it's unique! I did notice that developer is pretty responsive and even addressed a spoiler that takes away the whole investigation part
You can check off all the boxes, then uncheck the incorrect ones
Sure, kind of takes away from the game play, but i enjoyed searching the check marked one after. Kudos to you!
At first it was quite difficult, many times I did not even understand exactly what the game wanted from me, but then I realized (as the whiteboard also says) that on every level the rules change a little and all the key information is on the clipboard. From then on it became very addictive, a great anomaly spotting game from a beginner studio, a solid 8 out of 10 from me. I recommend it mainly to those who enjoy slower, more thoughtful games where you have to pay attention to every detail and read everything, and who do not mind feeling a bit lost at the beginning.
I've played a fair share of anomaly games and Floor 13 had a unique feel. It was not the scariest, but multiple rooms and need to detect the number of anomalies added to an enjoyable and challenging experience.
I really enjoyed Floor 13 — the atmosphere pulled me in instantly. The slow, creeping tension and the constantly shifting environment kept me on edge in the best way possible. I loved how the game played with perception, making me question what was real and what had changed without warning. The storytelling felt mysterious and unsettling, and it made me want to explore every corner just to understand more. Overall, Floor 13 was a fantastic experience for me, and I’m really glad I played it.
