Floodcore is a puzzle adventure game in which you explore an ancient civilization in a flooded world, and discover a mysterious power to overcome the temple's challenges.
This game is a vertical slice made by 5 French students within 8 months as a graduation project. You can expect 15 to 30 minutes of gameplay depending on your affinity with puzzle games and your sense of spatial awareness in a 3D environment.
Your power allows you to swap positions with specific objects in the world, or swap them together. Delve further into the temple and solve puzzles that require you to become a part of them.
Each area expands on the swap mechanic and makes you use it in different ways.
Some will challenge you and require you to anticipate several moves ahead, while others will need you to figure out every possibility, and there are often several different solutions for them!
You will discover multiple ruins laid by an ancient civilisation, each with its own visuals and purpose.
From the temple's surface to its underground, all the way to a luxuriant garden, you will experience each area differently with their puzzles and atmosphere.
At any point in time, you can take a step back and enjoy the calm atmosphere with the sound of waves, birds, wind and waterfalls.

Should be called Swapcore Short adventure with some puzzles. Tag and swap places, bond can be created between two objects and activated when close enough - neat idea. Nice scenery. Game is optimized poorly, I can run Far Cry 6 more smoothly. Very short is the biggest drawback here.
cannot wait for this to be made into a full game!!
This is not a game. It is a cute little demo which was the result of a student project. The graphics are 3D cartoon, and are absolutely amazing. Also, the scenery in here is positively beautiful. It is a nice casual atmosphere with some soft background music. You play as a pilot of a small seaplane who lands next to the pier of an island covered by a huge temple compound. Your objective is to walk from this end of the temple compound to the other end of it, while solving puzzles along the way. The puzzles are fairly simple. You must put the right box on the right pressure plate in a couple of ways, most commonly by using your powers of position-swapping. You can swap positions between yourself and a box, or swap the positions of 2 boxes. The Store Page says you should be able to complete the game in 15 to 30 minutes. However, I experienced a glitch where a puzzle kept "crashing" itself and would reset me back to the beginning of that puzzle. Thus, I had to screw around with this for 1.5 hours before being able to complete the game. It was the puzzle with the 3 boxes (1 pink, 1 blue, and 1 white). It did not matter which box I used. I tried all 3 of them several times. Setting a box down on the 2nd pressure plate always glitched the puzzle. The screen would go black, I would hear a big splash sound, and then I would be standing back at the beginning of that puzzle. Very frustrating. Watching the video in the game guide section confirmed I was not doing anything wrong. I went to the menu screen and tried respawning myself. Didn't work. Tried loading that specific level. Didn't work. Tried a new game. Didn't work. Closed the game and verified my game files. According to Steam, everything was fine. Started the game up again and started another new game. Finally, I was able to get through that puzzle without it glitching out on me. There are no achievements, no trading cards, no Point Shop items, and thus no replayability. Except for the puzzle glitch I detailed above, the game ran perfectly fine. Without the glitch, I probably would have been done in about 20 minutes. The Store Page says that playing with a controller is recommended. A keyboard and mouse works though, but movement can be a little janky.
really fun cozy puzzle game, really cool mechanics, wish there was more 10/10
A very good and very short puzzle game. I hope they make more of it.
Make a recreation/plagiarism of all the levels in this game for computer science final because I was out of ideas. I passed. Thank you for whoever made this game--My gpa owes you.
very sweet and amazing atmosphere, short but worth playing
This was such a short game, but it's totally worth it! cool gaming mechanics and beautiful graphics, I did stare at flowers for a bit lol
Despite it's unusually short length, it's a must play and I look forward to the developers adding more content.
