Oyuncuların, altlarında yükselen sel suları altında hayatta kalan son kişinin kim olduğunu görmeye çalıştıkları birinci şahıs nişancı oyunudur. Konsept i çok güzel.
"Flood Escape" is an Early Access asset flip that's deep in development hell. The objective was to make some kind of asset flip BR game with a twist, you fight over an area with a severe case of rising damp. Nobody wanted this. Nobody played this. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. Sure, some of the stuff here is from the developer... you can tell from the misapplied textures and general garbage quality. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets properly usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's free... now, but it wasn't before, the developer was trying to gouge gamers a whopping $5 USD for a selection of assets from the Unreal Marketplace. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. And this is a PvP only game... so it's completely dead. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer makes the rather serious claim that my review is inaccurate/contains information which isn't factually evident. But this simply isn't true... the facts of my review can easily be verified with just a glance at this godawfully crap product. The same is true for the data from SteamDB demonstrating the extent of this failure. We know that if there was any glaring inaccuracy in my review the developer would have jumped on it and pointed it out right away... but they can't even cite one single example. Because they know my review is accurate. They just don't like being presented with the facts. So they make up these false accusations of inaccuracy to soothe their ego. Anything but facing up to the truth. But why is this intellectual dishonesty good for gamers? It isn't. The developer admits they didn't hire a team of talented staff to produce the game and tried to do the whole thing on their own, instead. This is a lot like boarding an airplane, and halfway through the flight, having the pilot come out and serve peanuts. It's going to end in disaster. It requires a team of competent people to do a complex job properly, and that's not what has happened here... another explanation for the poor quality of this game. Finally, the developer of this train wreck demands that my review instruct them on how to make video games, because they obviously don't know, looking at this dismal failure of this product. There is no obligation for reviews to be constructive. Reviews are not written to teach developers how to make games. They should know this before they release products on Steam. If they don't, why does this have to be a problem for gamers? Video game reviews are to inform gamers on their decisions around which games to buy, download, or spend their time playing. That this fact did not even register with the developer, who seems to think he's the centre of the universe, tells us all we need to know about why this failed. Nothing in the developers pointless breach of Valve guidelines changes any of the objective facts of my review. My review stands unaltered. I cannot recommend this game to anyone.
