I recommend playing the regular game content, but I do not recommend participating in any competitions, including Grand Prix events. In my experience, Chinese players are treated differently. I was banned for one month for allegedly intentionally losing matches to lower my rating. At first, I was told that I had been banned for cheating. I repeatedly asked, “Did I actually cheat?” Eventually, the official email response clarified that the reason was intentional rating manipulation rather than cheating. However, there are many players from other countries who also appear to intentionally lose matches. Some of them have played 1,000 to more than 2,000 matches and have anywhere from 100 to several hundred trophies, yet they are still allowed to participate in B-group competitions and have not been banned. There are also rumors that competition spots and fishing depths have been leaked to certain players, although I cannot independently verify this information. And honestly, if you can’t even compete with players who have high ping, yet you still report them, that’s pretty ridiculous. Go home and cry in your mother’s arms. What a pathetic display of wounded pride.
