About
Fishing Mega-Game is a fishing creature collector that's all about fighting fish to catch fish! You play as an angler who uses the fish they catch as bait for the next big one. Collect dozens of vibrant fish and unlock unique ability combinations to challenge the hordes of fish wishing to take the bait themselves.
While fishing, send your bait into a fishing hole full of hungry fish looking to weaken you until you are fully consumed. Combat this with an arsenal resembling an aquatic "bullet heaven" type of game. Level up, or find rare upgrades to power through the hordes of small fry before you arrive at the main catch. Deal enough damage to it and add it to your collection!
This game takes inspiration from Vampire Survivors and Ridiculous Fishing.
In order to find new fish, you'll need to explore new zones full of fishing spots, NPCs and upgrade shops. Discover new levels, unlock permanent upgrades and receive helpful hints from characters in the area.
Each fish has an alternate "shiny" version. After catching all fish in a level, you will unlock the ability to enchant the waters, giving you increased odds of finding a shiny fish. By increasing the difficulty of the level, the fishing fairy will increase the percent chance that you encounter a shiny fish!
There will be over 60 unique fish for you to challenge and collect. Each fish has a unique combination of starting attack and abilities. Catch tons of fish and find the ones that suit your playstyle the best.

This Game runs Great on steam deck, can't wait to play more
The ironic thing is I hate fishing games.
Very fun take on the bullet heaven/survivors like genre, with a clever creature catching twist! The pixel art is very charming (especially the overworld and fish designs) and that combined with the wonderfully jazzy music that plays when you are on the hunt makes this a very chill experience. I also really like the shiny catching system where you can customize the difficulty to increase your chances of catching a shiny fish. My only complaint so far is that projectiles can be little hard to see at times with all the visual noise as things ramp up. And since the game can be punishing when it comes to recovering lost health it can be frustrating to be hit by a projectile I didn't see. This game also run really well on steam deck so far, which means this is probably going to be my go to podcast game for a good while! Consider me hooked... sorry that pun was reel bad, I'll sea myself out now.
I really enjoyed my time with this game. A lot of the negative reviews here seem pretty pretentious. If you take your roguelike bullet hell games super seriously, maybe this isn't the game for you. However, as someone who generally enjoys cozy creature collector games, I found this game to be a fun, slightly challenging experience.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Build a man an awesome fish game and he'll eat for days. As the kids say the creator really cooked with this one. It's a lot of fun to play, the music is a vibe, and the art is fun and nostalgic. I don't usually play "bullet heaven" type games but found this really enjoyable and a good intro into the genre. Highly recommend!
Found this on tom's youtube channel, glad i found this, its very fun
Very Cool Game !
Pretty addicting, I've been playing a while and got lots of achievements, I can totally see myself trying to 100% this game. I want to catch all the shiny fish! And I like that you can adjust the difficulty bc sometimes I want a challenge, and sometimes I just want to kill things
TL;DR Fishing MegaGame is fresh, creative, and fun with charming pixel art and a unique creature-collection twist. Maps are big but sometimes clunky, and progression feels grindy. As a survivor-like fan, I see potential, but it needs more depth and incremental progression to truly shine. Fishing MegaGame immediately struck me as fresh, creative, and fun. The mix of fishing mechanics with survivor-like combat feels unique, and for now it stands as a solid concept that shows promise. That said, the “fisher theme” alone isn’t enough to carry the game long term. It’s a clever hook, but I feel it needs more layers of depth to truly be worthy of extended play. The maps are big and non-linear, which I appreciate, but at times the layout gets in the way of smooth progression and pacing. On the visual side, I absolutely loved the pixel art style. It’s charming, colorful, and fits perfectly with the quirky theme. The simplicity of the design matches the gameplay, but it also highlights how niche the experience is. Progression is where the game feels grindy. Unlocking new fish and abilities takes time, and while the creature collection aspect does set it apart from other survivor-like titles, the grind can weigh heavily, especially for completionists. As someone experienced in this genre, I think the game would benefit from an incremental progression system layered on top of the current grind. That way, the sense of reward would feel more balanced and satisfying over time. Overall, I enjoyed my time with Fishing MegaGame. It’s fun, creative, and visually appealing, but it needs more depth beyond the fishing gimmick and a smoother progression system to reach its full potential. Considering what it offers, I see the pricing in a fair range, and for those who really enjoy the survivor-like, bullet heaven, horde survivor genre, this is a must grab for your collection.
really enjoying this game i love fishing games and i also enjoy bullet hell
