Good story and easy to play through. Took about 4 enjoyable hours to complete.
just 1 word AMAZING!!!!
Uzun zamandır herhangi bir şey oynarken meraklanmıyordum. Çok iyi geldi. Deneyimlenmesi gereken bir serüven-hikaye.
The graphics/visuals were really nice, atmospheric and picture-worthy and I also loved the music. I'm not sure that I liked either main character, but the story did really get me hooked... until it didn't. It starts out mysterious, even creepy at times, and I finished the game in one go because I just had to find answers. But the payoff ended up being a bit meh. The way the dialogue is set up, with you being able to pick from different options gives the impression that there are multiple endings possible, but from what I've read you're always left with the same ending so it doesn't really do much other than (I guess) sometimes altering the vibe of the conversation a bit. Controls were slightly clunky at times, especially when you have to get down again after climbing over stuff, but overall they were fine and it personally didn't bother me too much because at no point in this game are you really in a hurry, it's more a short interactive film rather than a real game. Also, it can get slightly annoying trying to find your way around the map. I get what the creators' intention was, to make you feel like you are really trying to find your way in the wilderness, getting to know the landscape and working only with a compass and map-reading. But I was a bit too impatient for that at times, just wanting to find my destination without having to walk in circles trying to find a path that wasn't blocked by a random bush, rock or tree stem. Overall, I'll recommend it in case you want a pretty and relaxing game for one night, but I wouldn't call it anything exceptional, so I would suggest buying it only when it's on sale - for how short the game is, I think the normal price is rather too high.
Initially it's all quite calm, you're wandering around in the forest, carrying out your duties, having conversations with Delilah and gradually finding out more about one another. Afterwards, things begin to become strange and you end up having to work out what's really going on there. I quite enjoyed the way the mystery developed gradually since it made you start making connections and begin to think that there must be something much larger going on. I believe it is in the conclusion that the game actually makes its main point. Since you spend such a large part of the game becoming absorbed in the mystery, it's easy to forget why Henry was even out here in the first place. There isn't instead some grand conspiracy or a perfectly clear explanation for you to discover. The focus is rather on Henry using this place as a means of escaping from his actual life and having to come to terms with the fact that he can't remain there indefinitely. I found that message to be very good and it made the ending have a different impact on me. The music is also very good and matches the game well. I probably prefer the landscapes too. The entire forest has a pretty pleasant atmosphere, and it never grew boring just to walk about and enjoy the views. The game is short and doesn't offer a lot of gameplay, but I don't think that's necessary. What matters most is the story, the conversations, the atmosphere and the characters. By the time I'd finished it, I had the feeling that I had actually experienced something rather than have simply gone through another game. Well worth playing if you prefer games that are slower and focus on the story. I really liked it.
Amazing Game
A short, story-driven open world game about being a park ranger working the firewatch. Gameplay revolves around "Go here, interact with thing," While it sounds boring, it really isn't, since both your character and the other character on the radio will often be chatting with each other while you explore and take in the view of the BEAUTIFUL environment. This game offers dialogue choices, providing *some* replayability. Additionally, this game has bonus modes such as freely exploring the world. If you're an outdoorsy person or are craving the outdoorsy, hiking experience, this game scratches 60-70% of that itch. Overall, a REALLY good, short game.
