(As of Early Access April 2025) Finding Hannah is a game that absolutely knocks it out of the park within its genre, but its genre isn't for everyone. It is a lowkey mobile game (although I played it on computer) where you find hidden objects. It has a lot of repetition in the gameplay because that's basically what these games are for -- it's a relaxing low stakes feedback loop intended to be played here and there rather than in long sessions. As you gain points, you unlock further scenes in the story, and there is a good deal of backtracking to rack up those points, but that's kind of just how the gameplay is set up to work, again that come-and-go repetition unique to mobile games. If you enjoy this genre, then I highly recommend Finding Hannah, as there's an extremely high level of quality and polish in what it does. The art is absolutely gorgeous, and the story is surprisingly heartfelt and nuanced, following the interweaving lives of our protagonist Hannah and her mother and grandmother. It also explores the sorta political generations of modern Berlin in a really interesting way. The larger scenes where you're looking for objects are all backdrops related to what's happening in the story. As the game is still in Early Access, I'm not sure if there will be more story or not. I hope so! At the moment, the story ends on a point that could work on its own as a contained narrative, but I find myself hoping for more exploration of these characters, just a little bit more. I got really invested! Even so, at this point in Early Access, it does pretty much work as a complete game. You won't be left on any cliffhangers.
I don't usually play Early Access games but this one seemed too interesting to pass up on. Gorgeous artstyle and solid gameplay since I like merging games, but at times it can feel repetitive. The story starts off a little cliche, but it definitely progresses naturally and feels nuanced enough. I think some dialogue options to emphasise the story aspect or some further customization options would be nice, just to vary the gameplay a little. The hidden object aspect is very fun and this is one of the few games where I can actually tolerate the soundtrack. Keep working on it! One small but important thing to me is that sometimes the game forces you to complete orders. Please remove that - I know that I have the items to submit the order, I am not a child, I am not submitting the order on purpose.
The art style is gorgeous, and it really transports you to Hannah's world
3 in 1 game. You got a story of Hannah learning history and how to choose her future for her life, A matching game to fill orders, and a find it game that the game changes where the location of things are when your not expecting it, and if your fast, you get a time bonus that gives you more things to match in the match game. I feel it's all tied nicely and a cozy treat to play. When you end the story and game, your welcome to keep playing the match and find games as long as you want and I loved this part because it's fun and addicting.
Fun minigames, lovely music and sounds, I love everything about this game. After the story is finished I still enjoy the minigames.
Love the art style, the story is cute, the characters are charming, and the sounds are fitting and pleasant. Like many of the other reviews, I get really frustrated with the grinding (I don't think the idea overall is horrible, it's just too much), but most of all I was frustrating with the amount of clicking involved in the grinding. If you want to leave that aspect of things in, I'd suggest some sort of hotkey (and if there's already one there and I missed it please ignore this complaint!) or perhaps click and hold to unpack the bags for the coffee, makeup, baked goods, etc. But the overall game is lovely, and if this one aspect were changed a little I'd have nothing negative to say at all!
Fun gameplay mechanics, easy to pick up. Awesome artwork and an engaging story. If you enjoy puzzle games that have a storyline but hate microtransactions, you'll love this one. Pretty short for now (3 chapters, about 3 hours of gameplay), but I'm looking forward to new chapters.
A fun puzzle game with amazing artwork and music! It's sort of like reading an I-Spy book with an interesting story between puzzles
