Great adaptation of books.
digital version of the books. If you liked the books you'll like the game.
I have known fighting fantasy as a kid. Have around 25 of the original books. Made by Ian Livingstond and Steve Jackson (yes THE steve Jackson). Original take on fantasy lore.
great
It's easy to navigate and a good starting point for new Fighting Fantasy fans. Getting Bloodbones for free is a nice incentive and wonderfully chosen considering how well written it is. I'd argue the roll checks are pretty BS but once I figured out you could quickly click the dice during rolls to reroll the outcome (slamming your fist down on the table) a lot of those checks became trivial. I personally don't care about "cheating" considering these books are more than happy to cheat you. Bloodbones is pretty generous with offering different ways to approach situations however some of the other books Can and WILL destroy your playthrough if you chose one wrong decision. Ironically my biggest issue is with the books on offer. You have some classics, Deathtrap Dungeon, House of Hell, Warlock of Firetop Mountain, but I'm a little annoyed how "safe" the developers have approached this especially glancing at the polls for what the next book should be. You're really telling me Crypt of the Sorcerer won out over Howl of the Werewolf and Legend of Zagor? I want those people gutted. This would be a great opportunity to adapt some of the more rare books, Magehunter for example which otherwise costs $300 minimum on the secondhand market, or Revenge of the Vampire, really any of the books from 51 onwards. I'm really glad the devs are still adapting more books so hopefully it's only a matter of time.
The classic Series now online!
Amazing!
