Y'know how Stardew Valley is known to have that SPECIAL kind of SOUL that no other farming sim to this day could ever dream of rivaling? That one intangible thing that always makes us come back despite some of us being on our 10th playthrough and the myriad of other farming sim we could be playing instead? Well, I believe that Field of Mistria actually has one of its own, one that shines as brightly as Stardew's. This game truly is something special, The unique SailorMoon-inspired artstyle, the endearing and WELL WRITTEN characters... The more you play, the more it differentiate itself from its rivals To me, Mistria sits right alongside both Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley when it comes to reccomendations, I KNOW I can reccomend it without hesitation. Because it really is THAT good.

Fields of Mistria is my first farming/dating sim, and I’m honestly really surprised by how much I enjoy it. I really like how slow-paced the game is. There’s no constant pressure to rush through everything, so you can just take your time, work on your farm, explore the world, or build relationships with the NPCs. It makes the whole game feel really relaxing and cozy. I really enjoy the gameplay and story. The NPCs are probably one of my favorite parts of the game. They’re diverse, interesting, and have their own personalities, which makes getting to know them actually enjoyable. The art style is also beautiful and fits the game perfectly. Combined with the cozy music, it creates a really relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to lose track of time while playing. I also haven’t had any performance issues so far. Everything has been running smoothly for me. And honestly, for the price, you get way more than I expected. There’s a lot to do, and it feels like you’re getting a lot of content for your money. Overall, I’m really happy with Fields of Mistria Definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing and cozy game!
Fields of Mistria is a very polished farming/dating sim that pays very close attention to detail - where it matters. While much of the gameplay, music, and design are very obviously borrowed, the experience is undeniably wonderful from top to bottom. Every gameplay feature yields either satisfaction or wonder over frustration, creating a farming sim that puts other imitations to shame. Mistria's characters are not the deepest, yet exist as charming portraits within this unique enough world. Any weaknesses FoM has are buried underneath countless layers of effective, interesting, engaging, and fun gameplay.
Fields of Mistria is an extremely addicting and adorable retro-style farming game. Days pass by very quicky and progress is constantly rewarded, making the game almost impossible to put down. Though mechanically simple, every feature is polished and purposeful, which makes the game more comparable to older Harvest Moon games than Stardew Valley, at least in my opinion. The art and music are also both fantastic. All in all, this game is a unique and entertaining take on a well-worn genre that I can only imagine will become even better with additional updates.
This game is very, very fun. I bought this just around full release and the hours I have in it at the point of writing has been played over the past two weeks. I haven't played many games in the farming sim/cozy games genre over the past 10 years, but this one has captivated me fully. It brings on the nostalgia of playing Harvest Moon as a child, and the graphics are like a love letter to games like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI.

I never leave thought out reviews, or many in general, but I must for FOM. I think coming into any farming sim comparing it to things like Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons and Stardew is almost inevitable at this point among people who like the genre. But this game has genuinely become one of my favorites in such a short time. In it's current state it seems like people are having a plethora of bugs, especially since they switched engines, but so far I have full faith in this team to keep the updates coming and to fix what they need. I myself haven't run into any game breaking bugs, but I've noticed some visual stutters here and there. But for where it's at in 1.0, I wholeheartedly love this game! The art style is cozy and nostalgic, I love the characters and their personalities even if some would complain that they're a bit too bubbly and nice (lol). I appreciate that you can turn down the saturation/brightness of the textures, because it is a BRIGHT game. There is so much to do, so much to forage and farm. Not gonna lie, in my first save I've speed ran the mines and the major questline, but now I can just kick back and hold off on the grind and just enjoy finishing my museum and building relations with the rest of the towns folk. If you look through the community posts you'll see a lot of great suggestions, such as divorce being implemented and heart events with the unromancable NPC's, which I think would be great additions! But its important to keep in mind that the game is still new, there is plenty of time to build upon what they've laid out, and for where it's at I think it's in a great place. :) I can see myself replaying it with many farms, and I'm excited to see what else they bring to the game in the future, because for where it's at in 1.0, I'm not displeased about much! I can only see the game getting better if they keep pouring love into it. <3 Cheers to the team for a lovely new farming sim!
Después de 100 horas, he terminado la historia principal, me he casado, he tenido un hijo y he construido una granja próspera.
I love the cute art and soundtrack. Major QoL for a game of this genre. Plus the magic and skilling system keep things fresh. Interesting characters who always have fresh dialogue. Hard to put down!
Picked this up during the 0.16.3 update, with 1.0 just around the corner, and it's already become one of those games that's way too easy to lose hours in. Cozy without feeling shallow, charming without trying too hard, and packed with enough progression to keep my brain happy. If 1.0 builds on this, it's going to be something special.
