I've been trying farming games like this since the original Harvest Moon. SNES, PS2, GameCube, PC, Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, Stardew Valley, My Time at Portia... quite a lot of it. I like the idea and I keep getting interested, but it never clicks for me. I wind up getting bored quickly and realize it's not for me. So I was really avoiding this game throughout Early Access. I thought I learned a lesson. But 1.0 hit and I felt a pull to try it, especially since it's been so well received. I figured, well, I can try it before the return window is up and see how it goes. Turns out that I've really been enamored by it. I don't put in the time some people do, but I have enjoyed every minute I've had with this game and it's the first thing I've played in quite a while that I think about when I'm not playing. Since I only really have dabbled in these games and never get super far, I don't know what is truly "unique" in this game in terms of mechanics. But there's a lot of things I do like:

The relationships are more interesting than they usually are early on in these games (and I hope they continue)
I love that the characters have different outfits per season and that the outfits show off their personalities.
The dungeon system reminds me of Stardew Valley certainly, but has its own charms and I'm glad it's in there
It's so easy to track where everyone is on the map
I love that the characters get together in the inn and talk about all sorts of things in a natural sort of way
The fact that villagers refer to artifacts and other things you have found actually makes the town feel "alive" in a way I've not seen much of elsewhere
I was unsure of the graphics in screenshots, but in person it's very charming. It almost has a Genesis/TG16 feel to it that I really think is underutilized in pixel art games.
The tracking of likes and loves for gifts is great and the "gossip" system is a nice way to chip away at it
I don't feel forced into complex farming in this game to really make progress, which is probably the single biggest thing that saps my attention away in other games like this
The fact that you can change your and your pet's appearance so easily whenever you want is wonderful
The portrait art is just great and I think every character is cute/charming/whatever in their own way. It makes you wish you could romance more of them -- why not let me go after an older person!? haha
The game really hits a "fill this meter" itch in a nice way without making you feel like you're focused on a list of stats. I don't know how to describe it, but it's balanced in a way that is perfect for what I want right now
Obviously it's very time-based, but I feel less rushed in this one than I have in others
I'm aware of the things people want to expand (festivals, endgame, etc.), but I am playing this at such a relaxed pace that by the time I get to any of that I honestly wonder if it'll have been added already. I feel that what's here already is fun and worth the price. Also I don't know who did the anime sequences in this game, but they are absolutely stunning. A lot of the time in games these are pretty, but fairly low in frames... but this is just smooth and gorgeous. I would love to see more done with that someday.

One of the best farming sims I have ever played. Very cute and fun.
uber woke game with lazy writhing
game good, game fun.
Overall it's got a few issues but is definitely worth your money + time and is a worthy addition to the anime farming genre Good: +Engaging world and fun characters. Specifically there's a ton of dialogue for everything which I haven't seen in a farming game since Trio of Towns. Always a good thing. + Immaculate vibes + Very pretty art + A ton of things to do and a progression system that encourages you to try it all. + Just, genuinely fun and easy to get lost in. Flaws: - Farming lacks depth. Crops fall into 4 categories(fast/middle/slow grow and renewable, same price and time per category) and never deviate from this no matter what they look like. Animals also give you a pretty miniscule reward compared to the investment. - Days run fast. This is by design so I won't knock it too hard but it always seems a bit too quick even in that context. You can slow them down a tiny bit in the settings at least. To be fair it's not really that big an issue unless you're mining or redecorating, -Only one festival per season. There are plans for more but this is 1.0 so I'm judging it as a finished game right now. None of these are deal-breakers so again: pretty good!
so much fun! all my favourite parts of my favourite games bundled into one with extra cuteness and girly colours (the pink UI without having to use mods is chefs kiss). I don't feel stressed or like I have to rush to get to a certain part or unlock a certain item or area. I really recommend this to anybody who's looking for a cosy, cute, stress-free farming game. PS. the marriage candidates are 10/10
I WILL NEVER NOT PLAY THIS GAME. Had it since early access* release day and you can really feel the love and care the devs have put into this. Personally, one of the all time best cozy games i have played so far. Stardew Valley walked so Fields of Mistria could run. And oh boy are they sprinting. <3
Después de 100 horas, he terminado la historia principal, me he casado, he tenido un hijo y he construido una granja próspera.
