Really funny game
-WARNING- This game doesn't work! Short Explanation: The idle aspect of this game doesn't exist, the abilities don't work, and ascension is broken. Yes, by that I mean that it doesn't let you ascend! These issues have been a problem the entire game's release (Read the community hub if you don't believe me), and they said they've fixed it, but it's still completely broken. There! I saved you time from reading my long review, from playing a broken game with reviews that haven't gotten far enough to be disappointed, and from contacting developers that said the game works and stopped working on it. You're welcome :D Longer Rant: Sure, you can play it. You can progress as far as you want in the first play through of an idle clicker. The game gets to a GRINDING halt where one solar system takes hours, and the ascension function DOES NOT WORK! This kills the entire game for me. I've tried doing everything to fix this besides start a new game because I'm not wasting more hours for it to not work again. I'm disappointed because I was enjoying what was happening at first. It's a game I could sink time and effort into, but then it's bogged down by a bunch of issues that would probably be fixed if they played their own game long enough to ascend even once. I also wouldn't call this an idle game. Sure, it fits the format, but it doesn't gain progress while you're not playing. Even more, the game is actively against you playing it idly. It doesn't have any sort of autosave feature between warps, and if you computer goes to sleep, the game shuts off and erases all progress since your last save (the start of that solar system). There is a "Best Friend" that collects friends for you idly, but it doesn't matter if you aren't actively progressing the game. You can use it all you want, but if it plays idly, it's so slow that it doesn't really effect your situation even at max level. The level progression is awful as well; you get a 1% bonus per level, and you have to combine two of the same level to level it up, so anything past level 2 is actively hurting your power as you throw away a level 19 to gain a 1% bonus. There's perks you can get in the shop to add to this, but it's still awfully slow unless you're in specific situations. I'll explain the two main reasons I went from a raving positive review (about 6 hours in) to a drastically negative review (Trying to ascend/use the second catalog) that I hope will save others from the waste of time I had on here: - The game doesn't autosave your progress at all between warps (I know I said this already, but this is DUMB AF for a game with "Idle" on the title thumbnail). You have to manually save it yourself. This make the idle part of this game non-existent. I had to replay the same galaxy 3 times because I left it on to gain haters and my computer went to sleep. When I got back on, the game closed when it went to sleep. That doesn't happen with most other games, so it confused me the first time it happened, so I figured it was just a fluke. I tired a third time to make sure it was that happening. Also, when I did manually save my game when I was on a solar system where I gained enough influence to be able to extract friends (This happened multiple times), it automatically says I extracted the planet no mater what the percentage was of friends/haters without giving me the option when I got back on. This was also the only ability I ever got that worked, and it actively worked against me without me being able to approve the situation. I couldn't do other abilities like nuke/destroy any planets or laser the haters. Most importantly; - I couldn't ascend. You can see in my achievements that I got the entire catalog bought, but I haven't ascended... even though you HAVE to ascend a minimum of 3 times to buy all the stuff in the catalog. I've seen the reset cutscene 5 different times (You can't skip it and it doesn't change), and each time, it kicks me back to the galaxy and solar system I'm on. It doesn't even erase the progress I made on the planets! In a progressive clicker with ascensions, this is detrimental. I can start a new game, but like I said, I'm about 10 hours in. I even thought MAYBE if I beat the solar system I was on and warped, it would warp back to the beginning. I was sadly mistaken. As I said already; I bought everything in the game. I don't want to lose that progress to start over. I can't destroy a planet. I can't kill haters. I can't even "sell my soul" in the menu to ascend. It's like they didn't even play their game long enough to make sure the game worked. The problem now is that I'm not planning on ever coming back to this game because I'm SO DISAPPOINTED in the progression system being broken that I don't want to try this again. Even if it's worked on and fixed (Which I doubt because it hasn't been worked on since last May) I would still have to go through the entire game all over again, and I'm not doing that for the possibility of it being fixed. If anyone has a fix without losing progress, I'm all ears.
Very charming game. Nice, stress-free experience when you need a break between more intense games. Love the art style, music, sound effects and humor.
Its ascension system, a core feature of idle games, does not function, which literally breaks the game. I would be down to play it more and would probably change my recommendation if this is fixed. It has the makings of a decent idle game, especially in terms of presentation, which is important for idle games in my opinion. It has a unique and eye catching visual style. There are also a few other smaller bugs and typos also not worth mentioning, and the game is also lacking some quality of life features. Generally it could use more depth in the choices you make, though there is just enough strategy as it is. I would like to see this charming game fixed and succeed further.
all you do is push F over and over and over and over to make the wierd cartoons progress
Gameplay mechanics are easy to understand. I was worried, within few levels, that the game starts to be repetitive, but there is always something which build up interests of the player level by level. As it was said in previous reviews, visuals are very good so as music and sound effects, which had to be very funny during creation process :).
The story is funny, the game has distinctive visuals and sound. I know it is an idle game, you can play it at your own pace (and you are supposed to), but I am obsessed with finding a way to speedrun this one because the gameplay mechanics allow it. My keyboard hurts, but I enjoy it.
Bad game. Not fun. Time waster. Carpel tunnel simulator. I was reading a book while I played the game. I only had like 40 pages left in the book to read and so I finished the book. The book was funner to read than playing the game. Probably took me like 30 mins to finish reading the book. The scientist can research 2 items. The merge one that merges units for you, and the robot one that taps "F" for you for a minute. The robot isn't a 50% drop between the two items. Bad game design. I had so many useless merge items that I never used. Gross sounds. Repetitive. Bad story. Grind heavy. Even when beating the levels with no haters, I fail to see why the game had to be longer than it is? A tendon in my arm started to hurt from tapping "F" for a little bit. I must say that an unlock in the game is aware of people possibly getting carpel tunnel from playing this game... The only thing that's good is the art. Anyways, I stopped playing the game at level 14. I don't like the game and I never want to see it again.
Its an ok time waster game. Its more a clicker than an idle game but honestly, there's not much to do and the longer you play, the fewer achievements and things there are going on that are unique. Its definitely a "play it once and come back to it months later" sort of game. Aside from the aesthetic, there's nothing that stands out regarding gameplay.
nice game to play while High as eagle titties, better if you have 2 monitors then you can let it idle, super undervalued game if you get it on discount, thx for the devs for the recomendation, love from portugal
