About
In Fawe, you are an adventurer exploring a continent devastated by the Destruction of the Gods, a catastrophic event filled with plagues and cursed creatures. You begin the game in Finraza, helping the last inhabitants of Akkadian Village, who need all the help they can get to survive. Face monsters, gather resources, recover artifacts, and forge your path to glory!
Customize your character by choosing their color, hairstyle, and skin tone. Choose from a selection of initial outfits and begin your adventure! You can also form groups with your friends and play alongside them, defeating stronger monsters you couldn't defeat alone, and sharing the experience with them.

Currently, the game has 4 classes, available at level 8, each with 3 skills. There are also 20 monsters and 6 maps, with over 150 items and equipment available, and around 80 quests. It also has 6 mounts, each with a different bonus. The town has a blacksmith who can forge and enchant equipment.

Great Indie Gem with Real Potential Fawe is a really solid indie pixel game that surprised me in a positive way. It offers 4 different classes, so everyone can find something that fits their playstyle. That’s a big plus, especially for a smaller indie project. I really enjoy the graphics — the pixel art is clean and the animations feel smooth and satisfying. The game itself is simple in a good way: easy to get into, not overwhelming, but still engaging. In its current stage, it’s definitely worth the price. Right now there are only NA and SA servers available, so I’m waiting for an EU server to fully enjoy the game with better ping. Once that happens and I spend more time in the game, I’ll come back and update this review. Overall, great foundation and I’m excited to see how Fawe develops.
"Early Access" seems to be a one size fits all excuse, this game is no different when using this term. Movement via WASD or point and click is, for use of a better word, clunky, its janky, its heavy and awkward. While the player is only allowed to to move in the 4 primary directions, the enemy AI makes use of 8. There is some kind of input lag witchcraft going on, this is made glaringly obvious when skills fail to trigger, as the enemy has already moved, before the game realises you've pressed fire. While on skills failing to activate, nothing highlights this more than the heal skill.... sometimes it works, and other times you can cast it 17 times, and all 17 times it will fail to trigger, its like the cursor, and where the game thinks your character is, is in different places, the best walkaround I found was moving one square in any direction before healing, that had the best success of healing. I did not party with anyone, so cannot comment on whether it would work, being the healer in a party. Dopamine hits are non existent, gear upgrades come from buying from in game shops, but there is very few upgrades at all. As you progress in game to a different area there are some higher than normal (number of units) "collect quests" that give you an upgrade in gear. Mounts give minimalistic stat upgrades, and their upgrades introduce the biggest bottleneck that the game has... Gems! The are 5 different gems to collect, and they can be combined into a super gem. Gear upgrades later on start to require gems and super gems. While I cannot say these gems are "non existent", I have to say they are next to being non existent. Over 2 days of farming for gems, approximately 16 hours, I found a grand total of 3 diamonds and 1 ruby. Some of the mount upgrades require multiple gems and super gems, same with gear upgrades. The gem bottleneck closes off the game. You cannot upgrade gear, so you cannot kill the enemies in the next area. Skills are awarded every 10 levels. They are a little lacklustre, and just feel 'off' , they need a balancing pass. The grind to level 30, is exactly that, a GRIND! When you get that level 30 skill, is a bit of a let down, and you're left asking yourself "was it really worth it?" , I honestly cannot bring myself to begin the slog to level 40 for my next skill. I dare not even think how long it would take, on the mobs I had to grind on from 20 to 30, especially with no upgrades. Combine that the with skills failing to trigger, and you start to question, " would my time have be better spent watching paint dry" and there has been a few times I actually though "yes". All of the negativity could be cured with a balancing pass, and the game dev stop treating gems as though they were coming out of his real life personal bank. Will I be back after a new update patch? Simple answer is yes, but I wont be staying long unless there are some significant changes. All of this comes from playing as a monk (the games version of a healer). I cannot even bring myself to playing as another class knowing the grind that lays ahead.
8/10 - Bro, it's cheaper than a happy meal, and its fun. Music got me to turn off the tv for the first time in a while.
Recomendo! Muito bom voltar a jogar Fawe.
Baita jogo! Mapa com diversas quests maneiras e muita coisa legal pra fazer
Indie title with a lot of potential. I know you've heard that before. Check the frequency of the updates. 7! meaningful updates just in march. The player base is low but I don't think they want people flooding the servers just yet anyway. [strike] I have high hopes for this one. [/strike] ---------------------------------------------------- Edit after 270+ hours: The drop / upgrade system is punishing and unrewarding. Sadly I can't recommend the game in its current state. If you can get a drop with 0,2% chance it's likely to break at 70% or 80% success chance. Gems are totally unbalanced. It's a crit meta. Using other gems, even colorful with lower chance of success, is pointless. Will update again if things improve.
The most recent update was very impressive. Seeing a project like this get such a large and well put together update makes me very optimistic for it's future. I highly recommend checking it out. I have a lot more playing to do to write a comprehensive review but my initial impressions are very good.
