While most roads end in despair, only one path offers a chance to bring justice, if players uncover the right clues and avoid the clutches of a patrolling receptionist. Suspense builds as the protagonist faces unsettling therapy sessions with a strange psychologist, whose probing questions on mortality and depression blur the lines between sanity and madness...

Players must solve puzzles to access hidden rooms and unveil shocking truths about the hotel and its corrupt management. Tension heightens as you evade the ever-watchful receptionist. I'm really liking this game so far. Love the graphics and music. I'm stuck on a puzzle so I'm going to wait until someone makes a guide until I can finish it. I hope the rest of it is good too.

Short game where one playthough is enough despite different paths. You play an ordinary man who has reserved a room for three nights. But before you can proceed to your room, you meet a woman named Sophia. After a drink at the bar and a few random questions, she confesses that she is an undercover cop investigating the hotel. Apparently, odd things have been happening, and people have gone missing. The Grand Elysium hotel looks decent. There is a large lobby with a few painting themed around the word "Elysium," a bar, and a functional piano where you can play any tune, including one for the achievement. Although the elevator can take you to any of the nine stories, they are all the same, with the identical aquarium and painting. The only exceptions are the roof and floor of your room. You can not speak to anyone. If someone has anything to say, they will initiate a conversation with you on their own when you approach. Although the characters are not voiced, the subtitles do a good job. When you press a button, the following line appears, allowing you to read more slowly. There are also choices that take the conversation in different directions. Sadly, there are no waypoints or objectives, making it difficult to figure out what you are expected to do. When you wake up the first time you go to bed (remember to close the door or you will die within five minutes of the game), you have no idea what to do or where to go. Returning to the lobby leads you on a scavenger search for a small piece of paper with only one code number. The girl reveals two other numbers. However, if you tell the girl to go away and stop bothering you, you will not receive the necessary information to proceed. As far as I know, there is no way to find out the numbers if you choose the "rude" path. To make matters worse, each time you start a new game, the solutions and item placement are random. Also, do must not click the button too quickly or forget to write down the numbers, because you only have one chance. Fortunately, much of this may be avoided if you remember to save often. After opening the door, you find yourself in the tunnels beneath the hotel. This transforms the game into a more “generic” indie horror experience. Here, you must run about looking for five codes. When you complete this, you will enter the final third chapter, which takes place in a maze. Because the game is short, you can play it again and try to find other endings. One wants you to use your video camera to obtain evidence for the police. You can also persuade someone to jump to their death or crack the password of the hotel’s computer. Unfortunately, not all achievements work.

Cool little indiegame with a good story and multiple endings. Thumps up.
Finally a horror game that doesn't rely on cheap jumpscares but actually has an interesting, deeply unsettling story. The puzzles are quite difficult though, I had to use a guide.
Could have been a pretty fun little game if there weren't so many soft locks and bugs in it. I was very proud of myself though for being patient and giving it a go 3 times before I called it quits.
I wish there was a mixed option instead of just positive/negative on Steam. Fatal Falls is an indie psychological horror game with a lot of ambition, but unfortunately, its execution falls short in some areas (no pun intended). While it has an intriguing premise and some moments of genuine tension, for instance in the sewers-like chapter, the game has a few issues. 1. Puzzles Some are well-designed and even embedded in well-written dialogues, but others rely too much on backtracking or finding tiny, hard-to-spot details in dimly lit environments. 2. Inventory The way items are handled is clunky. Certain objects don’t save correctly across chapters, and using something like a battery for the camcorder feels like it was tacked on rather than a meaningful survival mechanic. 3. Performance The game runs smoothly in some areas but chugs in others, especially during the later chapters. It feels unoptimized, with occasional stuttering and frame drops despite good hardware. Fatal Falls has potential, but it feels like a game that’s trying too hard to be deep without refining the core gameplay. The horror elements are undercut by tedious puzzles. However, if you love psychological horror, a decent story and are patient enough to deal with its flaws, you might find something worth experiencing.
Artistically articulate & masterfully constructed. Thought-provoking, the dialogue choices were carefully scripted to highlight realistic responses associated to the stigma surrounding human suffering. Gives you a lot to think about and gets the adrenaline flowing.
