This is a very, very, basic farm management game. Almost feels like a student project to be honest. The thing I dislike the most is lack of depth or complexity to the game play. Buy land, equipment, and buildings - choose crops to plant - watch the field's progress meter to make sure pesticides are applied at right time - harvest crops when the game prompts you to - sell crops at the market - repeat. You do not need fancy equipment - the cheapest available works just as well unless you are dealing with huge fields. Also make sure to have the correct storage building for the specific crop(s) you are farming, or you will not be able to harvest anything. Best early game crop in the USA region is apples due to higher yield in small fields, and no need to buy a harvester.
So much potential for mod support if only...
sehr umständliche Menüs, macht wenig Freude
Farming world is the next generation of farming simulating, not only does it have best-in-class graphics, it also has new chicken simulation algorithms. I found myself immersed in the countless hours of farming corn for my mcDenny's food chain business. I conquered australia with millions upon millions of acres of land. Yet there’s something about the nordic lands of farming world that drags you in and won’t let go. The alpine vistas – all rugged mountains, towering pines and gushing waterfalls – are magnificent. The thought that has gone into the art direction makes each isolated village, crumbling ruin and underground tomb feel distinctive, yet part of some cohesive whole, with a history, a style and a culture informing every carving and every forged motif. It’s also one of those rare games where the visuals, sound and music merge perfectly together into one experience that has you in its thrall. Farming world is not a flawless game by any measure, but where fans of other titles might rise up against rampant glitches and shoddy programming, this impassioned community has embraced it. Thrown into the air by a chicken? That's hilarious. A horse that mysteriously blinks in and out of existence? He's our legendary steed. An overall lack of proper combat targeting? Damn those stupid non-player characters for jumping in front of my greenhouse. I've seen accusations since the game's release that reviewers are giving Excalibur a pass because their games are always flawed, but it's not the reviewers. Overall, I would highly recommend playing farming world.
its maw, the interface could be more user friendly, being able to build bigger fields and use one menu on multiple fields to plant, harv, spray, ect would be great, but its too much multitasking/management, Simfarm still ten times better and it was made in the 90's
The game is mostly alright at some parts. It really does feel quite unpolished, sadly. For 4,99€, I expected some better stuff. Even the tutorial feels rushed and weird. In fact, everything just feels unpolished. The core of the game could work nicely. But various little things just really ruin it. It's really so confusing at the beginning. And It's really kind of hard to get into it. It doesn't feel fun at all, It's just a chore. Maybe it could get 'better' with updates. But for now: I will give a negative review.
Simple and elegant. Awesome. Very relaxing.
So bad
where to start... the game is interesting and fun for awhile. many things to work toward to unlock with a few different map to chose from. lots of freedom on how u want to play to achieve ur goal. sadly there is quite a few broken thing in the game wich remove the fun ( some contract are broken or impossible to complete, some achievement are broken / wont complete wich reward u with stars that u need to unlock other stuff, pen, barn etc fence break every few days wich is very annoying and totaly hated by players, u rarely get the amount of crops ur supose to get for X reason even if u do everything perfectly and ur crop are not deseased.) all in all its not a bad game but it feel bland due to all the bad thing that dont match expectation. with some polish that game would have been great but it seem abandoned by the dev since awhile. still an ok game just dont get ur hope too high.
