Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 362.2/day in the week to Jul 16 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

if, like me, you're someone who maxed all the crafter jobs in FFXIV shortly before questioning your life choices (but ultimately didn't learn from the experience) then you'll likely enjoy this game. very simple but feels like more than the sum of its parts while it lasts. good chill stuff. runs well on steam deck as well. hopefully level5 can avoid the slop temptation long enough to ensure this isn't the last game they make with some charm to it.
Most of the in-game systems improve upon what the 3DS title introduced. This game, however, reeks of FTP mobile game with predatory monetization practices but without the monetization. Your leveling will reach a hard fall-off not long after the intro and many things in-game have timers for no justifiable reason. The only way to start leveling quickly again is to participate in the two types of procedural dungeons, both of which use something akin to a "premium currency" that is difficult to farm. This game does not carry itself in the way that a $60 game should. Despite this, the game is still somewhat enjoyable due to the upgraded quality of life features in the "life" system which was pretty clunky in the 3DS release.

Completely unplayable on the steam deck.
Ignore the hours I have in the game, it didn't close properly the first time and kept running in the background for 68 hours. I've put four hours into my run so far and I've spent almost all of it clicking through text boxes and going on fetch quests. The features for interacting with the world feel clunky and unoptimized, like I'm always a few inches off of where I need to be to interact or use my weapons. I've been introduced to like 4 different locations with massive dumps of features and plot, and then hurried off to the next one with no time to learn through action or exploration. I could understand this for the first little bit, but honestly I just want to play the game instead of going on another fetch quest to unlock a party support member or being forced to build a town (?). And then the game doesn't hold your hand on the things that I don't fully understand, like how to level up your rank name for each life (which some parts of the game imply is important to do), or gain skill points for the skill tree. Maybe that's an issue on my end, but I've spent so much time mashing dialogue boxes and seeing "press x and y and RT to do this" that I can't even be bothered at this point to look it up. For a game that seems geared to a pretty casual audience, there are a load of features dropped on your head every moment of the first fours hours of the game and no time to digest. But at the same time, the game forces you to go through the story beat for beat during that same time, driving away any more adventurous players. Maybe I'll come back sometime but for now I can't really get into it.

I want to point out I did not play the 3DS version of this game as most of reviews say they did. I don't recommend this game the story didn't have any good hooks at all and felt like they made it up as they went along. I had a couple of scenes mentions things and then completely ignored them (Example: When Edward gets stuck under a rock and you save him there is no dialog or anything of him thanking you or anything. The rock just disappears and he pops up later at a robot like nothing happened. I also feel that the mechanic and systems are presented to quickly and its overwhelming. Jobs, Quests, Ranks, Island Building, Island Happiness, Buddies, Skills. Also the introduction to (Ginoromia, idk how to spell it) felt bland. I went there found the living dresser and my first buddy but then the game forces me out and does introduce anything else about the place that would make me want to go there. I also do not agree on the pricing. I feel it should be around $20-$30. That is the amount I would spend If you dislike my opinion on this im sorry. But I have comments turned on so if I misunderstood something let me know so I can correct myself and take back a opinion I didn't fully understand. Thanks for reading my review :)
