After beating the game I decided to give this a positive review, but there are definitely some pros & cons. Pros: -For one, it's free -Story is executed pretty well -Design of encounters, characters, scenery, and obstacles is stunning -Core gameplay with needle is an innovative mechanic Cons: -Movement is clunky -Camera positioning can be confusing -Some deaths just come out of nowhere, and not really explained -A good chunk of the achievements are bugged Overall I believe this is a great student project that showcases potential for some contributors in the future. I would recommend giving this a try if you have time, but be aware of its shortcomings. I look forward to some of their future projects.
This is a very impressive student game and well worth a play. It has a great dark atmosphere and it looks extremely impressive. The mechanics are interesting and work well. I struggled on my first play through as the controls were so slow an floaty, even the basic platforming was a real struggle. Only after battling my way through the game did I see the comment on the store page saying to turn down the graphics settings to fix this. After doing that it ran flawlessly and became a lot more fun. A couple of the achievements seemed a bit buggy and required repeated play throughs.

I love this game, I wish it was longer and more well known
I look forward to what this team does next
Beautiful game but runs poorly To get the antifragile and fantasmaGLORY achievs start a new game, beat the boss once filling the requisites, load the game then beat it again, once the credits starts rolling you get the achievments. Around 30 mins to complete, and 1.5 hours to 100%. It's extremely good for a college project, and being totally free you've got nothing to lose trying it out. This would honestly be an excellent proof of concept too, I'd love a full game of this with more polish. Sometimes it can be tricky to know what to do and movement is a little stiff but it's completely manageable. Overall, everything was really beautiful and well delivered, heartily recommend!
Amazing environment design! loved getting to go through all of the gorgeous sets.
I'm sorry because this game was made by students and it's normal that it's not perfect. But the character is really not fun to play. It moves strangely and the game physics are strange too. When you have to jump, you either jump on the spot, or sometimes, if you're lucky, where you wanted to jump. The game is very beautiful, but I wouldn't even get through the introduction. It looked promising, so that makes me quite sad.
This game f%cking sucks. Literally just a dev team looking to show off their graphical abilities while lacking in every other aspect of game development. Horrible conveyance, terrible controls, collision detection that borders on cheating, slow and clunky movement, and the fact that your character slides everywhere like the whole game is some kind of ice level is infuriating. I can't tell how many times I died just trying to get from one ledge to another because either she glides right off of it when I stop to try and time it, She doesn't jump when I hit the key bound to it. The games collision detection couldn't make it's mind up on whether I actually hit the ledge just right enough to count it. And all this doesn't even take into consideration whether or nor the game is going to trap you in an invisible wall in the foreground that the cursor keeps locking to. Yeah, you either get wedge against a wall that isn't there, or the imaginary wall just keeps honing your threaded needle gimmick to attach to it rather than anything else in the room. Did I mention it does so at random? I get it, this is a free game by a dev team trying to put something out there, but even then I still feel like someone owes me money with how bad this is. I understand that game development isn't easy, but don't make your game just a- well, I can't even say "feast" for the eyes. It's, okay as far as graphics and design goes. But don't make how pretty your game is the sole focus and just let the rest fall flat on it's face. Do with this info as you will, I don't care what anyone has to say about my review. Just know you've been fairly warned not to waste your time or mental energy on this train wreck.
