Fake Illusions

7/10. Spot the real fake among illusory fakes. [b]What is it:[/b] A perception game testing how hard/easy is it to trick your brain into seeing things that aren't there. Based on famous trick images, each level hides a real difference among a collection of "fake" things, e.g. an actually moving object hidden among still objects that just seem to be moving when you're not staring straight at them, an actual gray dot in a grid with "phantom" dots that only show up in the corner of your eye, a longer or shorter line among lines that just seem to have different sizes, etc. Each illusion has increasingly difficult levels, with a bonus infinite random gauntlet with extra hurdles in the way (moving spotlight, extra moving circles or lines obstructing the screen). The difficulty is adjustable, from quite obvious to barely noticeable, so even though the game isn't too long (about an hour playtime on the easiest difficulty), you can keep on cranking up the difficulty until you become a master of perception. [b]How hard is it:[/b] Adjustable, from obvious to nearly impossible. [b]How long is it:[/b] 18 levels + 2 summary levels, each with 5 sub-levels, plus infinite mode. A quick playthrough on the easiest difficulty shouldn't take more than an hour, but finishing on the hardest difficulty can take many hours, and as a perception training tool you can keep on playing forever. [b]Level design:[/b] Good, the author managed to make the classic illusions progressively more engaging. [b]Quality:[/b] Good option of controls, clean UI, I didn't encounter any bugs. The text-free settings are a bit confusing: I thought the happy/sad slider was a "rating" tool, so I thought the game was too easy after I rated it as "happy". [b]Worth the price:[/b] Yes. [b]Most positive aspect for me:[/b] Great perception training tool. [b]Most negative aspect for me:[/b] The obstacles in the last level are occluding too much of the puzzle, turning the game from "spot the difference" to "wait until the difference is not completely covered by thick bars to even have a chance to spot it".

Svojim spôsobom fascinujúca hra. Originálne a dobre prevedená, predvádza známe i menej známe okoklamy. Optické Ilúzie sú fascinujúci fenomén a šedá škála hry sa pre ne mimoriadne hodí. Snáď len - opatrne! Keď začnete mať divné pocity v očiach alebo v hlave, je lepšie prestať...

Does what it says on the tin - a fairly straight forward experience of playing through illusions of various types. I appreciate how it progresses the illusions from basic to more complicated. Some of them I just couldn't figure out, so it's nice you're not blocked from seeing new things, as long as you can progress one of the types. My one major complaint is that it has a very confusing, ineffective UI. I genuinely don't know what some of the options do, and it boggles my mind there aren't basic text descriptions available. I'm literally guessing about some of this, which is nonsense.

画面内に並んだ有名な錯視図形を見て、その中に一つ混ざった偽物を探すゲーム。表19ステージ+裏9ステージ。 「左右に＞＜マークが付いていると線が短く見える」とか「二重の円の外側が大きいと内側の円が小さく見える」とかの有名な図形の中に、ひとつだけ実際に「長さの違う線」や「サイズの違う円」など、錯視で見えるはずの物がそのまま描かれている図が混ざっているのでそれを見つけていきます。 ステージを進めると線が動いたり邪魔な図形が出てきたりと色々ギミックが発生するんですが、そういう邪魔な動きがあった方がわかりやすい問題と、しっかり紛れてわかりづらくなる問題とどちらもありました。 見え方の不思議に触れられて面白かったです。 難しさとかやり応えとかを楽しむものでなく、錯視の面白さを知るゲームだったと思います。 ずっと錯視を見ることになるので、視覚情報で疲れやすい人は控えた方がいいかもしれません。目がちかちかします。

Really enjoyed this game, and excited to see an update for it! Definitely needs more attention.

Recommended if you enjoy headaches. But it's so satisfying when you keep spotting the odd ones out.

Very Cool little game, worth it for 5 buck and even more on sale

Neat concept on paper - locate the fake optical illusion - but the puzzles either overstay their welcome by being way too repetitive, or become too confusing for the chosen difficulty. It should play in the same vein as Warioware, where you get a random puzzle and have to pick the painfully obvious answer in a matter of seconds, but instead it just turns into a painfully eye-straining endeavor. The 'arrows' puzzle gets boring fast, the 'white grid' was fun, the different-sized circles were just terrible. TL;DR It's a real hit and miss - great concept and woefully paced, poorly play-tested execution

Vielleicht währen noch ein paar Farbillusionen interessant gewesen, allerdings wäre das danna uch wieder nicht unbedingt zugänglich für Farbenblinde. Muss man mögen, aber wer es mag, wird viel spaß für ca. 1,5-2h dabei haben Rating: Dito: 4.9/5 Chat: 3.71/5 Gesamt: 4.31/5
