About
A puzzle platformer about turning failure into progress, inspired by the developer's struggles with cycles of manic highs and depressive lows.
You’re trapped inside a dream-like dimension, with no clear way out.

She wants to guide you forward.
But, the path ahead is full of deadly traps… and your only real ability? To fail.
Fortunately for you, there are mysterious orbs that let you leave a fragment of yourself behind. What remains will become barriers against hazards or platforms paving your way forward.
Fail and fail again, until you succeed.
Persistence and clever thinking is the only way out of this place.

Originally conceived while a student, Fail Fail Succeed grew from feelings of being stuck in a cycle of manic highs and depressive lows. The mechanics were designed as metaphors for those struggles: failure as an inevitable outcome, but traces of progress being left behind. In a bleak world of exhausting repetition, small comforts in the companionship of a loyal pup often became a guiding light.
Fail Fail Succeed is developed by a single developer. What began as a small weekend project, slowly grew after positive feedback, was further developed for Gotland Game Conference and Swedish Game Awards, and is now finally coming to Steam for everyone to play!

Even better than the demo version. Animations have been improved significantly, and the soundtrack is a perfect match. Game design is as sharp as ever. Looking forward to playing more and explore all the levels! (if I can get solve the levels, that is...)
I adore this little puzzle game, and I'm typically not someone who enjoys puzzle games. It's calming, tricky, full of soul and an incredibly well crafted little game that i recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing experience whilst exercising the noggin!
Very enjoyable puzzle game. Learning curve is pleasantly steep and the puzzle get challending quite fast (which I liked very much!). Played it on Steam Deck and it worked perfectly.
As a neighbour studio, I might be slightly biased, but nontheless - this is a good, well designed and well crafted puzzle platformer. Challenging without the "this is impossible"-feeling but rather "but what if I try *this* instead"-feeling. The difficulty starts out forgiving, but sooner rather than later the difficulty starts to ramp up. My 5-year old son loves to play the first 4-5 stages. While I solve the puzzles slightly better (for now), he gets it. Once he catches on to a solution he wants to do the platforming. We work together, fail together, and eventually, succeed together. I for sure didn't expect Fail Fail Succeed to end up being a bonding experience between father and son, yet here I am.
3/4: Cute little puzzle platformer where dying with an ability alters leaves something behind to help you solve puzzles. Neat concept, but (despite the cute dog) not really something I'd spend a ton of time with. It's just not the kind of gameplay that engages me. There's good polish though, including a a nice hint system and camera controls. Good ability variety, too!
