Faerie Solitaire Dire

First off, it works great on Steam Deck. You can use the touch screen or the right track pad and right trigger button. I like the original Faerie Solitaire so much I bought It went first came out, when it was remastered, and also for Android devices. I bought Faerie Solitaire Dire in early access. As you can see it went in early access in September of 2020. It is now March of 2023, and it is still in early access. There has been very little development and no real communication from the developer. I enjoy playing Faerie Solitaire Dire as it's more challenging than the original game. In fact, I rarely beat a hand on the first try. The game itself is very playable. The cards work, it's got sound effects, it's got music (borrowed from one of their other games), it's got artifacts you can buy to help you, it's got the pets you can evolve. Some artwork is a little placeholdery. The story is not present. I bought this on sale a while back; I would suggest you do the same unless there is evidence of ongoing development. They're promising big updates in 2023. When those start dropping, I will revise my review. It's just been a while since there was a substantial update. Edit: It's Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025 and the last update was still in October of 2022. Don't buy this game. Edit: as of November 10, 2025; we have updates and a promise for renewed focus. There were health and medical issues with one of the devs that are still in play. Look, this game was already "good enough" and if it was $10 instead of $20, I'd say it was complete. With active development, I'm back to recommending this one. But read through the news posts for it so you know what's going on. Also, the placeholder art doesn't bother me. I'd rather have that an genAI slop, honestly.

OK, I Love card games! I REALLY LIKE THE 'FAERIE Solitaire' series by puppygames. I can play for hours. The resent update AUG 2022 has this game running about as perfect as any card game can get. I love this game although it is very addictive. Thank you guys for making this game great!

I really love the Faerie Solitaire games. They're a great relaxing cool down after a stressful day. Plus, my Dad loved Solitaire so whenever I play it, I feel close to him <3 Thank you for continuing to develop these games!!

一共有16章，6.8小时能打完。虽然确实是个半成品，但在Steam的纸牌游戏里面我认为能排第一 （我有信心我玩过的比任何人都多）。

Lovely game play, haunting story, great visuals, and the most amazing soundtrack - I just wish they would announce another upgrade/addition to it! (And an option to purchase the soundtrack, please!)

台札の一番上のカードの数字より１多いか少ない場札のカードを場から台札に移動し、すべての場札をなくしたらクリアという、カジュアルゲームでよくあるトライピークスタイプのソリティアゲーム。 早期アクセスにはなってるけど、普通に完成しているので、完成品として購入しても問題なし。 ふつう、こういうソリティアのカジュアルゲームって、リラックスしてのんびりと楽しめるものなんだけど…。 このゲームは、不条理なまでに難しくて、徹底的に意地悪な仕掛けがこれでもかとレイアウトに組み込んであるので、このタイプのソリティアに精通していて、とにかく難しいレイアウトに挑戦してみたい、という人以外にはすすめられない。自分もBig Fish Games時代から20～30種類はこのタイプのソリティアで遊んだけど、難しすぎて挫折したのはこのゲームが初めて。 このゲームでは、各レイアウトごとに「カードを取る順序」がほぼ決まっていて、取れるカードが出たからといってそれと違う順序で取ってしまうと、必ず行き詰るようになっている。簡単な例では、オープン（上に載ってるカードがなくなって取れる状態）になってから５枚他のカードを取ると取れるようになるカード、というのがあるけど、そのカードがオープンになった時点で他に取れるカードが４枚以下だとそこで詰む。その場合、他のカードは取れる状態だったとしても取らずに温存して、そのカードを先にオープンにしてから取り始めなければならない。そうなる間にめくった台札は全部無駄になる。そういうトラップがすべてのレイアウトに二重、三重にしかけられていて、しかもそのトラップはゲームをプレイしてカードをめくっていかないと明らかにならないから、各レイアウトごとに、最初の数プレイは「失敗してトラップを確認する」ことに費やされる。 最初にプレイヤー登録する際に難易度を聞かれるけど、絶対に「イージー」を選ぼう。他のゲームに合わせた感覚では、「ノーマル」は「ウルトラハード」で、「イージー」で「ベリーハード」くらいだと思ったほうがいいと思う。 そして、ゲームが始まったら、とりあえずプレイしてみよう。多くのレベルで、どうしても取れないカードができて行き詰ると思う。そしたら、次のプレイではそこを取れるように、カードを取る順序を工夫してみよう。そうすると、今度は手元の台札が足りなくなるかもしれない（難易度ノーマルだと特に）。あとは、運よくいいカードが巡ってくるまで、プレイを繰り返すしかない。すべてのレイアウトがこんな感じ。しかも先に進むにつれて難易度がぐんぐん上がっていくという。 アンドゥもできないし、ワイルドカードは10レイアウトプレイしてやっと１つ手に入るくらい、取り忘れたカードがあってもまったく教えてくれない、など、徹底したプロ仕様になっている。ぬるいソリティアがやりたかったら、同じクリエイターが出している「[url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/583930/Faerie_Solitaire_Remastered/]Faerie Solitaire Remastered[/url]」で遊べということなんだろうと思う。 難しいソリティアで遊んでみたいという人にだけおすすめ。ソリティアゲームのクリエイターとしては定評と歴史のあるSubsoapなので、ゲームの品質としては外れがない。ただ、「とにかく難しい」だけ。 大部分のプレイヤーにとっては、同社の「[url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/583930/Faerie_Solitaire_Remastered/]Faerie Solitaire Remastered[/url]」のほうが難易度が適切で（易しいとは言ってない）楽しめるとは思う。

Total abandonware! Completely barebones game with some half-baked mechanics and bugs. Literally just various inbalanced layouts/levels, with none of the other systems in place. It's been 2 years, so I'd say the odds of this getting resurrected and finished is just about 0%. Bummer.

I really like the music in this game. Some of the tracks remind me of Bravely Default's melodies.

Another nice card game with pleasant graphics.
