About
Be the hero in your own cinematic epic of action, tension and terror. A mysterious paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in a Special Forces team only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart. With no other recourse, the elite F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) team is assembled to deal with the extraordinary circumstances. They are given one simple mission: Evaluate the threat and eliminate the intruders at any cost.
Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended – with a bang. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city.
As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities. The multiplayer component for this expansion is no longer available.

F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point is a solid continuation of the original F.E.A.R. experience. The gunplay still feels great, and I really enjoyed the combination of intense firefights and creepy moments throughout the campaign. The atmosphere is probably what I enjoyed most. Even though it’s an older game, there are still plenty of moments where the game manages to make you feel uncomfortable, especially when you’re walking through the darker areas and never quite know what’s waiting around the next corner. It’s a short expansion, but I thought it was a worthwhile addition to F.E.A.R. and had a lot of fun playing through it.

Прошёл F.E.A.R. 😊
One of the few games that made me actually close it for the day. Non-canon, but sure made me ♥♥♥♥ my pants.

Base game is good, a little dated, but I liked it. Was enjoying this expansion too, I think this DLC is actually a bit scarier than the base game, and the story is more interesting as well. However in the mid-point of the game, there is a part in the sewers shortly after the subway section, where you have to turn a valve to raise the water level, to cross a broken bridge. However, the jump to get out of the water and onto the broken bridge is literally 99% impossible. I spent 45 minutes trying this jump, losing my mind, thinking that I must just have game journalist skills. But I checked online, and other people had the same issue as me. I've seen people do it successfully, but apparently you have to be in a pixel perfect spot when you jump in order to make it. Caved and used a level skip code so I could finish the game. Expansion seems good other than that, but that was simply so annoying that it tainted the rest of the expansion for me.
PEAK!
F.E.A.R. Extraction Point is a funtastic expansion of the base game that brings hard boiled action, a fulfilling extension of the story with great twists and turns, not to mention offering gamers more time inside the awesome original F.E.A.R. playground. After playing the sequels and returning to the first game it is honestly night and day, while the later entries have some nice QOL improvements the lighting, environments, gunplay, squad based combat, its all insanely awesome, dense, and atmospheric. F.E.A.R. is among the best first person shooter franchises in my opinion and if you enjoy these games you owe it to yourself to play Extraction Point. Its a no fat on the bone, all gas no brakes, kickass time with a solid mix of moody horror reminiscent of those Japanese inspired horror flicks of the 2000s set in a John Woo action flick. Amazing game!
As someone who loves this game, this build is a buggy mess unless you drop the graphics to the lowest settings. Ignore it and buy the version from GoG. Much more stable.
