low effort rpg maker game
This is an interesting idea. You play as one of three characters, a witch, werewolf, or gunslinger. Entering town, you go through a quick tutorial that gives you two monsters/pets. These pets are your companions in combat situations. Combat is handled in a turn-by-turn basis, with a bar under each character that activates when full. Is a fun little game.
Crashed multiple times before I even finished the first area allowing me to save. It takes a long time to be able to save. Tired of replaying the intro to a game because of brokenébuggy UI. The voiced SFX are awful. I wish the Soviet Gulags would reopen just long enough to punish whoever voiced them, as well as everyone who allowed them to be a part of the game.

RPG Maker strikes again! Extravaganza Rising is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. This fanfiction construction kit asset flip is a badly done Pokemon ripoff from the King of Cringe, John Wizard, who writes himself into these games with his fictional anime waifu. One day, scientists will find a way to concentrate this cringe and put it to good use by dissolving waste or something. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. Extravaganza Rising is ridiculously priced at $5 USD (for an RPG maker asset flip!!!), but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.
Extravaganza Rising jsem si vybral, protože mi přišla správně "normální". Přesně ten důvod, proč si člověk vybírá hry z RPG makeru, ne? Nenáročná na výpočetní prostředky, jasně dané uživatelské rozhraní, chování herních prvků, nějaké ty (omezené) možnosti vývoje příběhu... No, dostal jsem, co jsem očekával a ani cent navíc. Něco na téhle hře je nedostačující. Grafika není moc hezká (i na poměry těchhle her) a herní mechanismy fungují tak nějak tvrdě a nepřívětivě. Je to celé nedoleštěné a syrové. Příběh je takřka nulový a během průchodu narazíte na nutnost mnohokrát opakovat některé lokality - až do omrzení. Ale i přes tohle všechno tomu nemůžu dát palec dolů, zas tak špatná hra to není. Ale není to ani nic extra. Pun intended.
