Can this be even called a game? There isn't much to it and what's available is very dull. Basically you get 3 commands that you enter over and over again for different server IP addresses. The whole "clear the logs" idea is nonsense as it doesn't really matter if you do it and second thing is that you need to read logs on some servers to find info. You have to log into multiple computers just to get the same .txt files with the same jokes over and over again. As if all the people in the world have those same 5 jokes and nothing else. There are .jpg and .odt files you cannot open. This has so much wasted potential. The premise is interesting, but the gameplay itself is very repetitive and boring. I was hoping the ending might be some pleasant surprise, but it was pretty expected and unimaginative. I got it on sale and feel like I paid too much even then. Better skip this one.
Not bad! I'm a Software Engineer and this game is super similar to the daily operation on Linux environment on server side, I can feel like I'm being a real hacker that I almost cannot do in real life. Used 40min to save the blackmailer, which may not be the best ending. But will try play again for other result after we have something new. If anything can be better, we should allow touch ↑ to retrieve the last command like in real life, sometimes this game can only shows the 2nd last command. Another thing is the copy paste should be enabled, though the timer is one interesting point for this game.
Good game but a little too short and with still a few bugs. Since the developer confirmed that it will have updates and that they already works on the bugs, I will recommend the game. The gameplay is cool and difficulty is well balanced. I will play for sure another round of this game when the updates will be available with more contents.
This is a experimental game that introduce a story to the player through hacking. and computer code. Not a lot of games do that and if you are interested in coding or computer science in general i recomend you this game in particular
The game process is too short. It's over in just one hour.
Great practice and bloody immersive. I've always been a fan of hacker movies and books and this game can make you feel in their shoes through the monotonous typing of the IP addresses but also the thrill of being fast enough to scan a server and crack a password before a firewall hits you. It's a niche admittedly and some lore would be nice like a wiki explaining how the exploits work just for fun (maybe that exists when you finish the game), and as a long time Linux user it would be cool to see a higher difficulty such as limited time on a server or you lose so now you have to bring in some shell scripting aliases etc. Lots of potential here and can definitely recommend for the price!
Love the concept but I can't seem to hack aaron@96.124.137.29... I notice in the screen shots that the user also had a few failed attempts... Am I supposed to keep trying to passwordBruteForce till it cracks..? Always connection failed after many attempts and reloading... I can't be this dumb... Can anyone advise me as to wot I may be doing wrong..? Fanx in advance. Peace Out.
