Reviews
This game was a pleasant surprise for me since I wasn't really expecting it to go into a proper CRPG style game, but it did! Story and setting is interesting, cool to see some familiar historical figures, but of course not entirely true to their irl counterparts and events. The companions are enjoyable, their stories aren't super fleshed out, but what's there is pretty good. Voice acting is really impressive. All characters and NPCS are voiced, and voiced well. Combat is fun, and there's enough variation between the classes and their subclasses. Some siege battles can feel really drawn out even on 2x speed. The legion battles are okay, but can get super repetitive halfway through the game. Overall a fun game that's worth the time.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The best Expeditions game in it's series. Perfect theme, engaging mechanics, and interesting military side missions.
Easily one of the best game about Rome out there and a very good tactical rpg If you ever dreamed of walking in the sandals of Caesar this game is for you
Fun turn based strategy game set against the backdrop of the transition from Republic to Empire in Rome. You battle through the wars in Egypt, Gaul and eventually the eternal city herself. It is clearly not intended to be historically accurate, but the overall feel is exactly what I wanted.
Too much hand-holding for something that "lets you shape the future of Rome". I felt like being funnelled the whole time, and it grew tedious after a while. Felt like I could just click at whatever is highlighted and spend time like that, not having to think much at all. Victory conditions are also a bit silly and break immersion (burn two ships and suddenly everyone just stops fighting and runs off in their separate direction). Also voicing breaks immersion as they're using modern English with pseudo-roman pronunciation, id est it sounds just weird. Fights on their own are OK, but become boring once you grasp the mechanics. Visually beautiful game though, but give me Kenshi over this empty polish any day.
It's a very good game, at first. It eventually turns into just running from spot to spot on very empty landscapes, with a very linear storyline. Could be a much better game with some more variety and QOL improvements. The best part is having conversations with a character and dealing with the consequence.
