Great game, but I feel as though the bullet animations for all the weapons need to be BIGGER/COOLER! Looks and feels like I am shooting little marbles and tiny string noodles at my enemies. Also, the fall and collision damage is absolute trash, so I would consider fixing those issues immediately before the game becomes very popular to try out. 8 out of 10!
MAKE A STORY-MOTIVATED INTRODUCTION TO THE GAME FIrst of all: Why did I buy it? >> the environment looks impressive, there is a lot of tech and I like Team vs. Team << Cons: There are a lot of confusing bar's. You get many weapon types you know nothing about. The tutorial isn't very helpful for beginners to the genre. This alone doesn't suffice for a negative review, but the fact that you fall into it with no idea. There is just ground, rocks, you and enemies. You fall into it with no real understanding of the mechanics e.g. effective jetpack usage. However, if you play long enough you'll unavoidably learn this. BUT YOU WON'T PLAY IT LONG ENOUGH! The problem is motivation: Why the hell would I like to play this, if there is no other player online? My suggestion to the Devs: Make a story-motivated "tutorial" (i.e. campaign). By this the player learns to master the mechanics of ExoCorps and is motivated to play it, even if the playerbase is still small. Another problem is: SPIRIT or SOUL. If one looks at the title's picture, one can see 1. impressive space environments 2. a cool suit -> this is apparent in the game too One tiny detail is missing, a spark of action and character. (Otherwise the the (ExoCorps-) Soilders could as well be clone troopers fighting each other with Darth Vader missing in the entire concept). A campaign with some story motivation would fix this. Phew! Now I'll fix my life.
It's pretty much everything I want. This is probably my personal favourite power armour fantasy, where you bounce at vehicle speeds and launch missiles and chaff as standard and could instantly dumpster conventional forces with overwhelming firepower. But, it's yet another multiplayer proof of concept that's dead as. If it ever gets a proper update I'll cut the review in half.
Good game, best picked up with a few buddies.
i would recommend its a great game to play with your buddies ive had so much fun flying around like iorn man and blasting foes out of the sky it is a very good game and i bet it will become very popular
Love the fast pace and the whole gameplay speed. I hope its gonna be big!
Nice shooter
Awesome game just lacking the player base it needs. Bots are good enough to have a lot of fun though.
An extremely fun game. Not simple enough for it to be bland and not too complex for it to be something nobody can get into. It has a unique take on the shooter genre, and that unique take is one of the best I've experienced since Titanfall 2. Where in Titanfall 2 you have access to wall running and double jumping along with a grappling hook, here you're slapped with a jetpack that's fun and easy to use and told "go nuts." The gun modes are satisfying to use, and each weapon and tool is accompanied by a pleasant sound, be it the thumping of the autocanon or the brrt of the minigun. Sounds and physics are affected by map, on the Moon sounds are muted, if not almost silent, in some instances, such as the missiles and jetpack, seem to be different entirely. Gravity there is lax, allowing for you to drift for long periods of time in open space, whilst places like earth have more familiar physics. All in all I find this a great game, my only issue is that the playerbase seems incredibly small. I only heard about this game from a single youtuber and have never seen it anywhere else.
Love this game. Played a ton of it in the beta and I'm excited to play more. It feels like a spiritual sequel to Starsiege: Tribes but with a really interesting mechanic where your health and ammo come from the same meter. But it works really well and it's neat seeing something new like that in a multiplayer FPS
