Really bad! T2 Shovel drains energy, when energy is depleted, you reload your last save or restart the game anew.... ...now there isn't a possibility to save your game. Everything about this game is clunky af. Not worth 5$, maybe in a year. Looks like a quick cash grab in the stlye of "A game about digging a hole"
This isn't great. It starts off kinda promising, progress is slow but rewarding. The drill gets handed way too early, and it drains the battery very fast. Diamond and platinum also appear far too early, and you max out all your upgrades within an hour. The fact that you can max out upgrades and see the costs for the next upgrade got me excited for a 2nd page of upgrades, but it was disappointing when I learned that you could not. Reaching the abyss was also disappointing; the achievement doesn't lie, it is simply an abyss. Performance is awful, with no graphics options, there's screen tearing, and the hole is constantly popping in and out, not to mention that the lighting is completely useless, as you will always have light all the way down to the abyss. Seems like a rushed game to jump on the hole-digging hype.
It's a poor imitation of "A Game About Digging A Hole", if you wanted more of that, this isn't it. It is buggy and finicky, the progression doesn't make sense, and you can softlock yourself. Running out of battery = automatic reload of the last save point
Still needs some balancing. At some point I lost my hole and had to start over. that's when I decided to quit.
no
This game is a bit of a mess currently, it has quite a few problems and sadly nothing stands out to balance that. It does not run very well at all, if you try to levitate the game lags immediately and majorly. also the levitation mechanic is clunky, rather than a jet-pack, you have to press q and move up or down by turning the camera and pressing w to gain altitude. you do not get any low battery warning until you run out of battery and reset, which also lags the game. You also only get notified of full inventory after you try to dig new materials rather than as soon as it is full, (though this is a bit of a minor issue) There is no proper definition for the outline of the digging area and whether it allows you to dig or not is based off of where you are standing, not where you are trying to dig. trying to get out of holes is a pain as you slip and fall back in to the hole because of how bad the hit boxes are for any dirt mound. you hit major dead spots (i found this out very early). there is almost no settings for customising the graphics, lower graphics settings literally just make it super blurry, frame rate does not get limited, ( i believe there was a setting for it, but it did not work), so my game was running at over 200fps for no reason at all. It is clearly trying to emulate A Game About Digging A Hole, but does it very poorly, none of the games mechanics work properly, it runs poorly and does everything worse than A Game About Digging A Hole and it just frankly isn't fun. It is the same price as A Game About Digging A Hole, so i recommend you go play that instead.
This game is .... anything but good :/ played for 15 min and .... thank the Gods I got a refund. Its just a asset flip wanna be game - Original name of game is "mars" dont know why its called exo digger ... PLEASE !! For the love of anything that is holy to You dont buy this censored !
I liked the first game but this game plays like crap compared to the first. needs some serious polish. constantly getting stuck on floating specks of dust. unplayable with the xbox controller which was fine with the first game.
kinda fascinating how a game can be so lazy put together and look so bad it's not even worth 5€.
satisfies the itch of digging holes on an alien planet. however: - not enough upgrades, or the upgrades are poorly balanced so max doesn't feel like a huge increase in power. especially the jetpack function. still uses too much battery, along with digging. the ability to dig as deep as you are makes the upgrades frustrating when they hit max. - many ore texture/coloring issues. why is gold pitch black? i dunno. - the game is bright enough to never need a single light, making lights seem uhh.. pointless. - literally no explanation on what the achievements are for. i don't normally achievement hunt but when i do i'd like to know what kind of progress i need to make to reach one. - mines ? mines???? mines ? ? ? there are apparently mines? i have not come across a single mine in the game and i've been digging around for a while. i refuse to believe that my procedural hole did not generate any mines. silly. - functionally no end game, despite there being a bottom of the world. - the dangers are just pockets of gas and/or radiation? we are on an alien planet.. where is the alien flora and fauna? - max upgrades on the black market still make it go out of signal range for way too long. confusing on why and how that happens anyway. - keep experiencing a bug where if i start mining in a straight line within the bounds, i'm able to go out of bounds for an infinite length, given i have enough battery to last that long. all in all, has potential but needs more content and polish.
