EXIT - The Curse of Ophir

This game is ridiculous. There's a puzzle where you have to type a word on your keyboard with zero indication that you'll use anything other than your mouse. No escape room I've played has ever required you to type without any kind of input on the screen.

I love the EXIT games and I really wanted to love this but the style they want I don't think translates very well to a digital medium, particularly with how clunky and frustrating they made the controls (have they heard of the RMB?). I think they made an excellent EXIT Game but not a great video-game.

Mega! Ich habe schon einige Exit Brettspiele gespielt. Diese sind sehr unterhaltsam und Interaktiv. Mit wenig Erwartung auf die gleiche Erfahrung habe ich dieses Exit Game am PC ausprobiert und war sehr positiv überrascht. Es bringt genauso viel Spiel- und Rätselspaß, wie die Brettspiele. Die Rätsel sind alle logisch. Bei einigen musste man um die Ecke denken, doch durch aufmerksames Lesen der Hinweise kann man auch die kniffligsten Rätsel knacken. Die Lösungswege haben dabei einen bleibenden Eindruck hinterlassen. Schade war, dass ich ein Rätsel nicht ohne Tipps lösen konnte, da die notwendigen Hinweise nicht mehr vorhanden/aktuell waren (Externe Quelle, Aufzug Kabel -1). Ich fände es super, wenn bereits existierende Exit Brettspiele ebenfalls den Weg in die digitale Welt finden würden; mit angepassten oder abgewandelten Rätseln an die PC Version. Alles in Allem kann ich dieses Spiel nur weiterempfehlen. BITTE MEHR DAVON!!!!

Das Spiel ist für Erwachsene geeignet und macht definitiv sehr viel Spaß. Für Kinder ist es jedoch zu schwer. Es ist ratsam in einer größeren Runde von Erwachsenen zu spielen, da man wirklich viele Ideen braucht, um voranzukommen. Trotzdem mussten wir uns hier und da Hilfe in Form von Hinweisen holen. Wir sind jetzt bei etwa 50 % und haben etwa 4,5 Stunden gespielt.

Refunded. There is hard, and then there is obtuse. I won't even go about the TORY puzzle. For another example, there are just way too many ways to interpret the ship clues. The game goes past hard into "what am I thinking" logic, and that's not fun.

Auch dieses Exit ist wirklich gut gelungen. Lediglich der "Würfel" war einfach unverständlich. Obwohl ich durch bin, versteh ich ihn noch immer nicht. Alles andere war jedoch genau so genial wie beim ersten Teil und dazu noch etwas schwieriger. Freu mich auf weitere Teile!

Way too cryptic, no chapter select, no collectables.

I didn't like the puzzle to open the briefcase at all. (Also I think what i thought was the answer to the morse code puzzle was better than the actual puzzle) But otherwise it was pretty fun. I suppose I wish more had been done with the time travel idea, like making changes in the past would change things in the future kind of thing, but generally speaking it had a personality with its puzzles and wasn't the same stuff you see in all the free to play phone adventure games. It's pretty cheap, but I'd still get it on sale if you want it to abide by the $1/hr rule I use for buying games.

A half of clues seem to be lost in translation or are entirely missing. Like, I feel like I need one of those youtubers who explains poorly made math problems to explain how you get from A to Z, but you are missing half the steps.
