First Impressions
Exiori is one of the H-RPGs that gives you mixed feelings to the point you can't decide whether to recommend it or not. You play as an amnesiac guy named Krosuji who is on a quest to avenge the death of his friend (with benefits) and return to his world. Its story is fine but cliched and predictable at times. You can understand what's going on for the most part, even when there are a bunch of references to the dev's previous game, Euclyca. I have the most gripes about its gameplay. While it's serviceable for the most part and doesn't have the balancing issues other reviews report, boss fights are a bit tedious because of how much HP they have. It's not rare to see yourself doing the same actions over and over because you have a battle under control, but the boss stays alive. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2916611433 As for the visuals, the characters and backgrounds look nice, and the still shots used in the sex scenes are nice. However, it has the same issues Solenars Edge had with the map designs: most dungeons feel like open fields instead of caves, forests, and the like. Moreover, the backgrounds used in some of them make them look like they are floating in the sky. That said, Exiori is an entertaining H-RPG despite all the previously-mentioned issues. However, you may want to wait for a discount before purchasing it.
This is a placeholder review. After playing the game up to the latest chapter I have to admit I am really enjoying the story so far. The party members are interesting and the boss fights have been pretty challenging too, I've gotten lost a few times because my sense of direction is awful xD but whenever I've found my way again I've always felt proud of myself for it. If you like story oriented games like this then I really recommend it. It's still not finished yet but I will likely drop another review about the progress I've made. If the later chapters are as great as they have been so far then my review will likely stay positive.
You love anime indie games? Love to support indie developers vs the big shots, while getting your femboy husbando and nice ♥♥♥♥♥? Are you LGBT+ and want to see every combinations of coitus? This is the game for you~ But seriously, this team makes some pretty fun games with cute art, fun story, and a really fun combat system. The developer is also a real sweet guy, who interacts with his community. Give it a try~
This game is great and to the owner i hope you make more games like this in the future i love this game its amazing i love how much effort you put in it and thanks for giving me the honor of playing such a lovely game word to god.
The story is interesting, and I like the characters. However, the game is just too hard. So many monsters, not even just bosses, can one hit kill characters. I bought this as a casual play, but it is anything but. There are areas where revival items aren't sold, and if your healer gets one shot'ed and you are out of those items, guess you have to restart the game and hope for better...
Good game by a good developer, someone that actually cares about the quality of the product they put out.
Ok, I've made it to chapter 4, I'm like level 54. have the best equipment I can have , have no problem with the normal encounters. what I can say is the developer has no concept of balance, the chapter bosses are just insane, keeps trying to do the anime thing where you barely pull through the boss fight and have anime style power-ups and stuff happen to the boss and you during the fight but...its just really frustrating, extra reinforcements enemy power-ups, full heals mid battle for "story reasons"...it just doesnt work. it's not a bad game but the balance could use some real work.
Windows Defender flagged a trojan after opening the game Edit: Fixed the trojan issue good game :D
great game well worth $20, occasionally confusing with the painful amount of backtracking you need to do, my breaking point was
when i got winnie the pooh as a party character and was able to curb stomp some bees with his aoe earth magic for honey for a delicious beef sammich,
i couldn't stop laughing this game has the some of the greatest curve balls i've seen.
