About
EvilTrap: Prologue is a standalone psychological-horror experience that introduces the world, tone, and terror behind the upcoming full game.
This short chapter invites you into a sinister village that wants to keep you trapped forever. The environment shifts as you move, and the atmosphere tightens with every step. This prologue opens the door to an evil that you thought had ended... but it is just the beginning.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
An Oppressive Atmosphere: The environment is built to feel heavy and sinister as you explore the village.
Micro-scares & Jumpscares: Using the same logic from my previous game, Horror Story: Hallowseed, this prologue features a mix of scripted moments and dynamic events to keep you on edge.
The Constant Fear System: Experience a groundbreaking sensory technology that transcends traditional sound design.
Physiological Immersion: Unlike standard horror games, EvilTrap utilizes a proprietary system that triggers instinctive biological responses, simulating the feeling of being watched.
Dynamic Stress Feedback: Feel your own heart rate reflected in the world around you. The environment's "pulse" accelerates as your panic rises, blurring the line between the game and reality.
Mystery First: I have carefully hidden the plot to avoid spoilers. You will experience a fraction of the mechanics and story, keeping the full nightmare in total secrecy while giving you a glimpse of the entities involved.
A Focused Experience: A short, intense horror atmosphere designed to be completed in one sitting. Easy and simple, just to give you a free taste of what is to come.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is a one-man project. This prologue is a free entry point to the EvilTrap universe, intended to showcase the mood of the game, not to deliver a full-length AAA experience. If you enjoy atmospheric indie horror with a personal touch and a deep respect for the mystery, you are in the right place.
100% Solo Dev: No AI-generated content. I code and develop everything myself. This is a one-man project from start to finish.

No właśnie, nie mamy tu dobrej ciągłości. Koniecznie potrzeba tu czegoś, co by spajało ten wstęp, notatki i jednocześnie pchało Nas ku przecież oczywistemu zagrożeniu.

I'm excited to see what is yet to come with this game. I really enjoyed Horror Story: Hallowseed and look forward to delving into the saga. The gameplay was obviously short due to it being a prologue and taster of the full game, but that said it still had a creepy atmosphere and the micro scares got me good lol. This dev gets a lot of stick from the haters, yet you don't see them putting their life savings and all of their time into creating a game. EvilTrap, just like Hallowseed, has a great deal of attention within the assets used, which adds more atmosphere and immersion in my opinion. Bring on the demon in the full game! I'm ready!
A basic walkthrough, no real plot to speak of, basic graphics, one good scare and that's about it. The dev took the time to respond and I agree with what he said. It is a demo and a work in progress.
I liked this prologue. It's a free game that's actually a demo of EvilTrap, which is coming later this year.
Noice 👍👍
awesome demo looking forward to the full game release.
I did NOT like this game😡
Great intro to the series, plus it's FREE ... and it works on Linux.
