It's honestly really surprising just how unfun this game is, with the year long (IRL time) time it takes to just barely be able to fly a handfull of ships, very basic guns that may have you winning against small PvE targets, don't even think about fighting back against the stargate campers that will smartbomb you, leaving you defenseless. The god awful UI that will smother you in useless flavor text except the very critical info of weapons, ranges, health, anything, It's like looking up a cooking recipe, several paragraphs on who invented it, their favorite smells and hobbies, what they fear most in life. But don't you dare wonder about crucial details no no nooooooooo. God awful "exploration" in which is all just trying your hardest to move a probe pixel by pixel to get a 0.3 better scan, to jumping in, trying to decipher if the flavor text of the area means you'll get blown up in a nanosecond, if it's got 3 pennies laying on the ground or something that was actually worth the half hour it took to find it. Boring mining, combat, the combat is especially crazy cause the amount of times your ship just ....... doesn't fire, doesn't orbit the enemy when you clicked on it several times keep at distance or approach, its all the same, just your ship drifting off into space 70% of the time as you frantically click and or press on anything. It's a damn shame really

Was fun 15-20 years ago Now it's just like getting bullied at school, new players have no chance in hell of getting into this game past the new non pvp starting zone.... Sad, game is fun, community is dead.
Eve has always had a steep learning curve. But it was presented in a way that you could at least understand what you were supposed to do, and could just nibble at it little by little, learning in small steps. Since last time I played, a lot of big changes were made, and now it's an incomprehensible mess. There's a dozen different things on the UI wanting my attention, and none of them are clear in what is important and what isn't. What needs my immediate attention and what can come later. The new skill interface is a confusing mess. The old interface was complex, but made sense. The new interface is just plain confusing from top to bottom. it's had the reputation of being a cliff learning this game. Now it's a cliff but someone's punching you in the face every 5 seconds as you try to climb it. I don't know what the devs are smoking, but they're making this game worse with time.
I love EVE, even works on my Linux work laptop. Takes me back to Privateer 2 the Darkening days but more modern.
Not the best game overly monitized.
boring
dont bother unless u got money to spend on a bunch of premium n plex to sell for isk or a ton of friend to play with to grind cause the only way to make money is by going into low sec area and ur likey to die in under 20 minutes if u do since people with premium/omega status camp the areas witing for somone to attempt to even farm, u will rarely run into a new player usually only old sweats who invested too much to acually bother to play a new game
new players vs old accounts, new players have zero chance..... and no matter how much money you spend, you will never catch old accounts,
The tutorial is not working is extremely glitchy and wont let me get past a certain spot. waste of time.
