Realistically it's an old style MMO where you need to pay a monthly fee to play the game, however they advertise that's not true. I barely played this game, I'm capped on everything I am physically able to do without paying the subscription, unless I just wanna do the same loop over and over and over and over and over...... And in fact, a reshuffle of the abilities caused me to lose some I used to have. So yeah.... The game has a free version, like WOW had a free version. Free to level 20, then you pay. THE PROBLEM however is that you can't just BUY for like 3 months and play those 3 months. No. You need to buy 6 months to play 3 because you have to train offline for 50 years, OR PAY MORE MONEY.

never seen bigger freaks online than in this game. These people will sit at crossroads for HOURS waiting for someone to fly past and kill them. What type of creature do you have to be to sit there staring at your screen for hours waiting for one person to fly past you. Would love to see what these freaks look like IRL

I love EVE, even works on my Linux work laptop. Takes me back to Privateer 2 the Darkening days but more modern.

In the past it was somewhat good game. But that was a decade ago. Now it is just a money grabbing almost dead game. It cannot renew itself and now just milking the playerbase. Not free to play, and it is a bad and costly game. Not worth your time or money. Read the other reviews, sadly almost all bad review is right and warnings. In a pay to win game which is pvp too....you can guess what happens to new players.

Not the best game overly monitized.
