They undercooked this release. The game needed serious work when it came out, and it still needs some work now. On the other hand, it also hit me like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ drug. Once I get into it, it's impossible to stop playing. The dev team is working hard, and I'm confident that the coming patches will address a lot of my complaints. I want this to shine brilliantly, like it certainly can- and it's already a gem, just muddied a bit.
