Causes immense pain, great work.
100% worth it. I think it has really unique and responsive controls that nail the easy to learn but hard to master kind of thing. the visuals are on point. i really liked how the difficulty felt. although not to spoil anything...but i think the last area was a bit unfair...that is just personal preference though since i normally don't like games that are difficult. for about the first hour i completely ignored the checkpoints because I didn't see them and i was really pleasantly surprised when i finally realized what they were. and it really made the game a lot more enjoyable for me. Even with the decrease in difficulty, it never felt like my hand was being held. Each section was diverse enough that it didn't feel repetitive. and it was really surprising how many uses your two moves have. the way momentum is used to change how fast you are lunging forward is really creative and has you thinking about how you are gonna jump. and i like how if you think too long you have to move before you can jump again. this game has enough of that troll factor to punish you for trying to be greedy but it does not feel unfair. as there are enough checkpoints that you aren't restarting from too far behind....that was until that last area (spoilers ahead not that its a huge one) but i really did not like that the clown thing couldn't be stopped. and that it could push you off at random times either by shooting you or by running into you. i would not have minded but there was no way to kill or disable it that i could find so that's why it felt unfair. if i could have at least stunned it for a bit or maybe permanently gotten rid of him it would have been a lot more fun. that is basically my only problem with the game. the rest was incredible. a 3-4 hour playtime for the price is worth it. the whole world felt balanced between large enough to feel imposing but not empty so that there wasn't anything to do. if you take the time to actually explore you'll find lots of weird NPCs with...interesting stories haha. although the fact you cant get up on the higher area in the beginning is a bit disappointing. i really liked the graphics, it had an old CGI type of feel to it. i really would like to see more. maybe another layer could be added in the future? i would definitely pay for more levels in this game. also if there ever are more levels or layers you should add a cool hub world that you could explore. not that it was a HUGE deal, but i noticed that the game would crash if i fell too far if i was in the higher up areas. also as a result, i found that if you close the game and open it sometimes the game would save your position in a more favorable position than if you were to just restart at a checkpoint. i would say i give it a 9/10 and i think it has really great potential to be a big game
it was a very emotional journey, I cried a lot
Cool game!! I love the art and graphics (especially how they are 2d in a 3d environment). Sadly, its too hard for me, I've refunded it Dx
