Erotic Justice

Delightful writing. Fun to play. Not all of the cases were easy to figure out and I like that. Plenty of replay-ability if you want to find every scene and get the biggest ending.

I am usually not the biggest fan of mystery games nor am I the best at them, but I enjoy this one (for more than one reason lol). The art style is charming and I was pleasantly surprised that some of the H-scenes were animated--though I still need to unlock them all. I recommend~

The voice acting in this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. Its a bunch of amateur zoomers trying (and failing) DESPERATELY to EMULATE a certain anime voice archetype and it comes off so cringe-incudinly inauthentic. "I want to give this character that 'husky' voice a la LifePoint1 (google it you dumb zoomers) even though I CAN'T do that voice I'm gonna try anyway" and the sex scenes suck. This game lame. You zoomers are lame

You play as Max Chusetts, a detective sent to the Birthday Maid's Brothel to investigate a murder. You are a Shard, with the power to detect when someone is lying with the only catch being you need to recharge this ability by getting your rocks off. Though, even with this power and your trusty partner Fizz at your side, this case is not as straight forward as it seems. Finding and playing this game is very reminiscent of going to Newgrounds and pulling a game that is buried deep in the catalogue, and I mean that in the best possible way. The game has this charm to it, each character being very distinct from their looks to their personalities (Fizz is best girl). Their designs are appealing and memorable, and I can tell there is lots of care put into them. This is a visual novel, so there is lots of talking to witnesses and gathering information. Most of the time, when you ask a question you can determine if someone is lying to you or not, indicated at the top left. Though when you do so, you need to have sex or watch someone have sex to recharge your next use of it. This is not hard to do, since Fizz is always available to help. This does mean that there really is no consequence from spamming your ability, going back out for a quickie in the hallway, and then going back in to continue questioning, making the flow seem kind of off at times. I do like the mysteries; there being three in total. They are written in a way where you can usually get a pretty good idea of who the perpetrator is fairly quickly, but if you want the full story of what is going on you have to talk to the characters. I like that, but some of the transitional dialogue could be cut down I think, and the writing could be a little bit tighter in some places, but I'm not going to hold it against the game too much. There are also a fair amount of sex scenes with each of the girls. At the beginning of the game, there is an option to have futa on or off but it only has minor changes to the story either way. There is also some NTR content towards the end of the game, one of the endings being a cuck ending. It is pretty avoidable for the most part, except for one option in Case 3 where it wasn't clear at all. Still, the scenes are very nice, and there is clearly a lot of love for Fizz, which is fine because she is best girl. I do think the gallery is a little janky, more being an asset viewer than taking you back to the scene itself to replay. I'm alright with that, but sometimes the scenes overlap each other and it can be visually jarring to look at. Overall, the game is fun but it is very rough around the edges, and I think you could probably get through the game the first time around in about three hours time. The game locked up on me twice randomly when trying to start it up and then never locked up again afterwards. The writing could use a bit of tightening, some quality of life features would have been appreciated, but the charm of the game won me over. It makes me feel nostalgic for a time long past. I recommend this game if you don't mind a bit of jank.

Fizz makes my brain activate neurons that I didn't even know I had. Oh! The games pretty good too...
