[Nutshell] - This game is a story I wrote called "Ericanskinsmonsters" using rpgmakermv to build this JRPG into a fun turn-based rpg like I used to play as a kid. I used a lot of scripts/custom(purchased and original), artwork, music, sounds, audios, and really tried to focus/balance the combat system to the best of my ability. I wanted to make it challenging, kinda chaotic, but fun. There is no joke a lot of mechanics built into the combat; it took me quite a while to build this game. I put in all the fun stuff like* - shops, mazes, secret content, hidden legendary gear, puzzles, traps, and an evolving story and class system.
Once assembled, your four-member party will feature five distinct classes alongside a powerful summoned flesh golem. Customize your team by purchasing spells from shops to fill gaps in your strategy and tailor your gameplay to your preferred style, but be careful of the weapon requirements of specific skills and limitations of mana.
Flaymancer - Uses rogue-like attacks to deal massive dmg to target causing bleeding.(Also studied Golemancy and uses 20 flesh to summon a formidable golem named Drippy when in dire need)

Markswoman - Uses firearms and explosives to deal heavy damage and inflict status effects on enemies. Lucy has had some rough times as a child and shares no love for animals. Lucy has the ability to scale her attacks early on with a permanent stat increase buff and is vital in keeping the team focused on the right targets with the use of one of her late game skills.

Knight-errant - A banished knight with a grim past who has sworn to protect you and will sacrifice himself to defend his allies. He uses heavy armor, shields, swords/axes and has abilities which allow him to bolster defense/taunt/shatter enemy defenses/and stun opponents. -(Grimlock's host body)

Bloodzerker - Adam's other personality is a character named Grimlock. Grimlock disregards safety and focuses on inflicting brutal damage as if his life depends on it. Grimlock starts with 0 mana and sacrifices his own life in order to increase his power before he unleashes devastating blows. Due to Grimlock's nature, he is immune to light based effects including heals from his fellow members. The Bloodzerker may not be able to receive holy heals, however he can still heal off his life-steal attacks/potions/and any regeneration effects stacked on him. Switching between Grimlock and Adam fully restores their health in combat and can be a vital tactic in keeping the team alive.

Sorceror - Highly magic based class that uses healing/cleansing spells to restore the party. Grendel is also the major spell damage user of the group, so choose wisely when you prioritize your damage over the healing sustainment of your team. His roll is vital due to some enemies taking increased dmg from specific elements, the light dmg he can inflict on undead, and the amount of support he provides the team(single target heal does massive dmg to undead/also gains revive later, so you don't have to use consumables to revive). As the adventures progress into slaying the powerful Ancient monsters, Grendel syphons the bosses ability as he absorbs their energy.

GOLEM SUMMON

DRIPPY
Erica's golem summon has incredible resilience and power. You must collect 20 skins from battle drops in order to summon him, and while he brings devastation....his time is limited and is only around for a handful of rounds. Drippy truly brings the pain, so utilize him for clutch moments such as times of great peril, or challenging boss fights!
A quest system is implemented to keep the player's targets of revenge in mind and highlights the main quest only. There are hidden quest, secret treasures, and clues for legendary weapons and armor scattered throughout Strifestav which would greatly aid you in journey if you choose to seek them out. These hidden events are not tracked on a quest log. Due to this loose guidance it gives the game a less linear feel, but ultimately specific things must be accomplished or killed to increase progression. If you get lost and are unsure what you are supposed to do, just simply review quest logs/read road signs/talk to npcs/or feel free to check out the walk-through guide I built on my website.

Reviews
I'm going to preface this review by saying that I definitely wouldn't consider myself a 'hardcore gamer' these days. My era peaked probably in the land of Azeroth and the Outlands... in the realms of the Lich King... so... a bit far removed to say the least. With that being said, OH MY GOODNESS! The story line was delightfully unpredictable, the music was riveting, game play was obviously well thought out... this is not a game that will ever leave you bored, that's for sure! I don't want to give any spoilers, but definitely do NOT sleep on this game! It has something for everyone (well, anyone above the recommended age requirement for its rating) and will keep you entertained, enthralled, shocked, and on the edge of your gaming chair for hours on end! I rate Ericanskinsmonsters the most amount of stars... it's incredibly creative and fun! I'd write more, but then I'd have less time to go and play it, so...back to the game I go! :) [And while I was provided a beta-testing version of the game sans cost, I would gladly buy it again!]
Pretty fun irreverent take in the turn based RPG genre. A blood thirsty group takes on a quest of epic proportions, but perhaps things aren't as they seem. Really enjoyed playing my friends game. If you like turn based rpgs and silly jokes this one is worth your time. I played through it several times bug testing and it never got boring. Give it a shot!
I honestly Loved this game, It was a complete throw back to all Turn style RPG games I had played in the past.. Was and IS a breathe of fresh air.. I definitely recommend this game to Anyone that wants a old school party-based RPG to scratch their itch.. This feels and looks like a passion project and I highly recommend it!!! 10/10
