About
"This isn’t just another survival game—I’ve spent five years creating it and three more releasing updates. The game has vastly improved since most of its reviews were posted. While I’m not currently posting updates, I’m still actively working on the game behind the scenes. Please buy it only if you want to support the development and provide detailed bug reports and feedback to help make it a masterpiece it deserves to be. The development is slow and steady, which means there can be long delays between updates." - Dev 💙
A new era commences. The Age of Technology has ended, allowing nature to reestablish balance and order. This emerging world, abundant in diverse animal and plant life, presents renewed challenges rooted in fundamental survival: agriculture, hunting, defense, and the construction of adequate shelter.
Success now depends on the ability to adapt, establish a foundation, and seek progress within this revitalized environment. Will you persevere to live with the land? Or will you strip the world bare, kill anything in sight, and rule with an iron fist?
The objective is for Jack to survive within the natural ecosystem, using available strategies or resources. Help Jack secure food, water, clothing, and shelter—whether a modest home or a tall building. Assist him in developing expansive farms, staying warm and dry, and crafting stronger tools to overcome bigger challenges. Protect him against hostile animals and elements, using brain or brawn.

Jack can explore a world with changing weather, temperature, and day-night cycles. He'll find various pickups, forests and ponds to utilize in his quest.

Make Jack a bow and send him out; he'll mostly be hunting wolves and bears, which are both dangerous predators. Equipped with a bow, strong armor and a good sense of aim, Jack will be eating his first cooked bear meat soon!

Cultivate a variety of vegetables, ensuring their proper irrigation and care until that sweet harvest.
Jack needs a dry, warm place to sleep and relax. Build him any type of home using at least 15 construction parts, in any design or size.

Jack should manage his available resources efficiently. If he continues to remove all the trees near his home, he will eventually need to travel increasingly greater distances to obtain additional wood. He should also utilize his storage capacity judiciously by prioritizing essential items and avoiding unnecessary accumulation.

Jack has several long-term survival strategies. Residing near a wolf den can help maintain a steady food source, as can living close to a dam and fishing for meals.
"And much more! Seriously! I promise you; this is the most unique game you've ever played. Unique gameplay that exists thanks to a unique software design. I would really appreciate your support in buying a copy, after all, all purchase funds go back into development, not my pocket." - Dev 💙

----- ONE YEAR UPDATE (February 16, 2021) ------ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NOQQcU7h9M ------ June 26, 2020 Update ------ What in the flying crap is this deception and FLAT OUT LIE being posted by the developer of this game? https://imgur.com/GIAuCOs ^^ THIS ^^ - Is the type of crap that quite frankly p*sses me off. Let's be honest here.. This is nothing short of intentional deception and manipulation and a flat out LIE by this developer. THIS SHOWS US THE CHARACTER OF THIS DEVELOPER ALL BY ITSELF AND IT SHOULD GIVE YOU ALL THE REASON YOU NEED TO PASS ON BUYING THIS GAME. ----------------------------------- JUNE 12, 2020 Update Video: (My Biggest Rage Video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9DsYML5oQw ----------------------------------- MARCH 29, 2020 Update Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpK3gpnph0E&t=3031s ----------------------------------- UPDATE ON FEB 23, 2020 (6 Days After Original Review): I question the developers honesty about working on this game for "over two years" as he states in his early access information and show the state of this game in this in depth video: (I also give this developer some pretty easy and quick fix suggestions that could go a long way to showing he actually "cares" about his game at the end of this video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4scXujj23U -------------------------- UPDATE ON FEB 18, 2020 (DAY AFTER I REVIEWED THIS GAME): After I made this video, this developer the next morning showed their ability to take criticism well.. I mean I didn't even talk at all in the video, I let their game speak for itself...but I got this notice from Steam lol: https://imgur.com/lxYQ0oq -------------------------- ORIGINAL UNEDITED LAUNCH DAY REVIEW: Jean.. (dev)... Thanks for the free evaluation key first off. But let me ask you a familiar question I ask new indie developers far too often these days... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xovy4xpYuQ4 To Developer: Is this game right now a game you yourself would pay money for if someone else made this? More importantly.. Is this game a game that YOU enjoy playing right now in its current state? If this developer was to answer these questions honestly.. you'd also have MY recommendation on this game now.. A BIG FAT "HELL NO"

It is another big empty map with nothing going on. Early access is not the place to develop your game. Take it off steam and put it on Itch.io to get the feedback you are looking for. If you ARE going to put it on Steam, don't expect people to pay $15 for your unfinished, barely playable Alpha test phase. https://youtu.be/SXuKj9RpNW0
What a lovely fun game worth all the money in my bank. NOT just joking this game is a POS not worth $1.00. Not much ♥♥♥♥ to craft, empty map pretty much. I can collect meat from a wolf that's still alive by chopping it up with an axe. I can spam jump up impossible rocks that you shouldn't be able to do. When using an axe to chop the animation looks like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This game needs to be removed from Steam right away and the devs slapped.
真是一款优秀的生存游戏,几十年没有见过啦。真棒!
Era of Survival is an abandoned Early Access "me too" Unity based survival game. Gameplay consists of chopping down trees, collecting stuff, building stuff, fighting off wild animals, etc. It's a compelling idea but it's been done, done, done, and by much better developers than the developers behind "Era of Survival". One thing I can say is that not all of the game assets are flipped, because I saw a completely square tree. Not a round trunk, but a square trunk, with four 90 degree angles on it. Oh boy. The game was abandoned in a completely unpolished and unplayable state. Amongst the technical defects we'll get into, the animations look janky as all hell, and the funny part about that is the developer is using a Unity Asset store animation pack, so there's really no excuse there. It's like going shoplifting but only stealing the budget thrift store branded goods. The game was abandoned roughly four months ago, some time after the developer indicated the game would probably be finished. There's no reliable indication the game will ever be completed, given how long it's been since any updates were made and the shockingly incomplete state of the game, which is a reason for gamers to avoid this. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the game resolution caps out at 1080p, a very low resolution that became mainstream back in 2006 and became obsolete when 4K entered the mainstream in 2014. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers. Unethically, the developer sold keys to this abandoned Early Access game into cheap, nasty game bundles (no less than three DailyIndieGame bundles!), where they knew it would be advertised and sold as a complete game. This seems to have been done in an attempt to mislead gamers into buying a knowingly faulty, defective and incomplete product. When a developer does this for a game they have zero practical expectation of completing, this is essentially a scam, an intention to get paid for a broken/unfinished product. Often this is done as an exit strategy, as the developer takes the money and runs. No refunds have been given, the developer kept all the money they took from gamers.
This is the foundation for a good game, but currently unplayable, as far as i'm concerned. mostly due to the extremely quick deaths from weather, starvation and thirst. It seems to be just gather resources ( takes a long time for enough to even make the first tools), make good tools, die from something (losing everything), then start completely from scratch with nothing but the starting wood, rinse and repeat. not having fun on this pointless loop, so done.
Era of Survival will give you an hour or two of fun before the boredom inevitably sets in. The game fails mostly in that it ignores the lessons of other survival games. Almost everything you craft takes a minimum of 30 seconds. It also takes an absolute ton of resources. An example is one stone arrow takes something like 35 wood and 10 stone...for one! It also takes 30 seconds real time to make it. If you want to make a bow and 20 arrows, it will take 30 minutes. This is the same with everything. A wood door takes over 100 wood, a single piece of roofing 200. I think both of those items took a full minute each to build. Combat is just as bad. Once you find the million resources you need to build the simplest items, they fall apart in seconds. You're not playing a game, you're watching a timer. Killing a chicken with an axe is an exercise in frustration. You have a tiny red dot but there is no blood spray or anything to even tell if you're hitting things. I chased a chicken for almost 5 real minutes swinging an axe at it. You can kill one in real life by just walking up to it and wringing its neck! No weapon necessary. Avoid this and pick up Force of Nature 1 or 2 instead. EoS has too many problems to be fixable.
Virus? No Thank You Was really getting excited to play this. even with all the mixed reviews. The game looked plan sounded cool but after downloading and setting everything up. Steam told me it was a virus! Even went throw the setting and still saying the same.. safe than sorry I say.
Game is broken. Totally see why it was on sale for .99cents. LOL. I think they have lost interest in making this game. it had potential.
