I recently got this game for free from a curator connect offer in my group 100% Achievements Events group. This 3D simulation game with arcade reaction-based action gameplay by b-alive gmbh features a custom avatar that decides to own up to 5 different horses, train and perform in a variety of up to 8 different horse show events, each with a different theme, variety of movements and a musical accompaniment. The game has a good tutorial system to walk the player through how to keep the stats high for the horse and perform in each show well to score a large number of points needed for achievements, a nice glossary that will demonstrate and describe each special horse movement or each horse breed and the choice of background music played in each show are great by matching the themes featured in each show very well. Among the cons, the somewhat repetitive nature of the game where you are required to take the horse for a run, feed it to capacity and then clean to groom it up each time after a failed or less than perfect attempt in any show to have a chance at earning maximum points(needed for some achievements) instead of being able to restart the show immediately, the presence of a few bugs in the game(I spotted two where clicking on the in-game take screenshot option will cause the game to crash. Another was when opening the show list during the tutorial segment when no shows are unlocked yet will result in not being able to return to the previous window, forcing the player to close and re-open game.) and one achievement that was somewhat harder than the other achievements(Highscore) and may require more than 10 attempts in some shows that need to be attempted at Hard difficulty in every show. Overall, this game is recommended when at discount or bundle offer for those looking for a nice 3D simulation game with action segments and great accompanying background music, a nice and useful glossary to describe and explain different horse breeds and horse movement techniques, attractive achievement icons and achievements that are more or less reasonable.

Ok, so, I was borderline with this one as to whether to recommend it or not. The concept is definitely good and the horses are fairly nice-looking so far, plus I love that you can wander around your ranch and do things at your pace. I also love that the main focus of the game is actually dressage (though you are actually putting on a performance rather than doing dressage tests). HOWEVER, I'm not sure what language this was originally developed in, but the translation to English is pretty terrible in that majority of the items and horse breeds are spelt incorrectly. Another thing that is bugging me is that some of the descriptions of movements are completely incorrect. For example, the game describes a canter as a slow gallop, which it is not. One other major thing that is bothering me is the tack models, which are horrendously inaccurate. The Icelandic 'snaffle' bridle was missing a throatlatch and the bit was attached incorrectly so that it more resembled a bitless bridle than a bitted one ( I actually had to check the title of the bridle to see whether it was supposed to be a bit or not). The saddles are also way too large on the icelandics. Now this all may sound really pedantic, and it quite possibly is if you are just a casual gamer looking for a fun horse game to play, but if you have actually ridden before (like me), and know how things are supposed to look and be, then you may also be incredibly frustrated by this. Otherwise it is a decent game that for once doesn't have racing or jumping as the main focus.

If you are a true lover of horses and pet managment/competition games, then you probably would like this. It's a casual horse show/horse caretaker game. At first I was thinking it might be more for a younger audience, but after trying it for a bit I think it also works for just a casual gamer. There's things to collect, and horse grooming as well as the shows and all. It's honestly not something I personally enjoy, but I'm sure others might.

This is probably one of the worst games ever created. Clunky controls, almost no music/sound design through most of the game, a tutorial that is extremely unintuitive and not to mention actually broken as the grooming minigame seems to require an item it didn't give me and just altogether a completely unpleasant experience. The shame is that it's a solid idea that COULD have been done very well, but it's just bad. It's just a bad game.

I was going to recommend EquiMagic after about four hours of play, but the further I went into it the less I liked it. The overall idea is neat and probably appealing if you find stuff like Cavalia or the Lipizzaner horses interesting, but what you'll get is something more akin to the lowrider minigame from GTA: San Andreas - yes that irritating, rage-quit inducing one. You MUST get very good at "steering" your horse via mouse as well as timing key presses to the second if you want to finish this game. EquiMagic is also missing features listed on the store page, namely breeding. You earn money from successful shows and can buy five separate horses with that cash, nothing else. Heck, the Shetland Pony which will be your last purchase doesn't even have a show to be used in and its sole achievement is glitchy. The "Learning missions" are really just a super-lacking tutorial that ends abruptly after your first show. Horse care boils down to waving your mouse over the animals in a pre-set direction and hoping it registers to "clean" them. I have a feeling this was intended to be a far longer game, as upon completion you'll find lots of items in the store not assigned to anything as well as vaulting moves you'll never use. There is one show that contains vaulting for your character but the game does it for you, you don't need to own the moves like you do those of your horse. English translations get worse the farther you play, although they mostly stay readable. Achievement hunters...I'd suggest avoiding this one. Most of them work but the Shetland Pony achievement took a couple dozen tries to register so I wasted probably two hours running the lil fuzzball around a track and repeatedly cleaning him. Stat tracking for overall cash earnings as well as show level seems to break after completing the final show for the first time, as I'm currently sitting at 137k thalers while it shows me at just under 44k. EquiMagic *might* be worth a purchase on steep sale and if you're fine with never finishing it as it is a neat idea but the execution is pretty lacking. This feels like a cross between a bad mobile game and a just plain dated indie title with a healthy dose of rushed to release on the side.

I like this game a lot. The graphics are nice, the gameplay is fun, and the premise is unique and it makes this game very enjoyable. My only problem is the tutorial which doesn't explain a lot. There is no map so you are on your own if you want to find out a layout for this place. Also the game doesn't tell you about the scrolling or the fact you can also use the arrow keys to control your horse.

Dieses Spiel kann ich nur weiterempfehlen! Warum dieses Spiel mir gefällt, möchte ich in meinem Review erläutern. Erstens kann man sich (wenn man genug Geld hat) Accessoires im Shop fürs Pferd und für den Reiter kaufen, womit man beide ausstatten kann. Und zweitens kann man jederzeit die Galashows wiederholen. Damit verdient man Geld, mit dem man sich z. B. ein neues Pferd oder viel Futter kaufen kann, ohne pleite zu werden. Sobald man alle Galashows geschafft hat, kann man sich "selbstständig" machen, indem man (wie ich bereits sagte) die Galashows wiederholt und viel Geld verdienen kann. Wenn man aber schon alles durchgespielt hat, kann einem nach einiger Zeit langweilig werden, da es keinerlei Missionen mehr gibt, außer sich selbst zu beschäftigen, was eigentlich kein so großes Problem ist. Die Grafik ist sehr gut, alle Pferde sind schön dargestellt und die Umgebung ist wunderschön, vor allem wenn man in die 1st-Person-Ansicht wechselt. Das Spiel ist hauptsächlich was für Pferdefans (wie alle anderen Pferdespiele), aber selbst mich als "normaler" Spieler hat dieses Spiel sehr begeistert und ist sehr abwechslungsreich.

Кроме обучения и участия в шоу придется проводить много времени в заботах о своих питомцах. Уставшая лошадь откажется тренироваться. Кормим, чистим и расчесываем своих будущих звезд сцены. Неплохая казуалочка с симпатичными лошадками. Порадовала красивая анимация движений, яркие шоу, наличие русского языка и достижения. Фанатам лошадей игру рекомендую.
