reminds me of the epic war 3-5 flash games and i love it!
Great strategy game. Build and improve your army to fight against other armies with a wide range variety of themes and art. Perfect for a quick game on the bus or to spend hours on your computer at home!
Steam needs more than a simple Yes or No for recommendations, more to the Yes so I'll give it that. It's a low cost and reasonably decent idle-ish game after you get a good team going. Most of the time it's a matter of send all your troops to the enemy from the start of the match and just leave it alone. Choosing the eye as your starting relic makes things a lot easier, and it take some randomness out of the game. A few bugs listed below, but nothing game breaking. Something that annoyed me was that I had to read a Steam discussion to get the graveyard secret, and then the fight with the "secret boss" was on the same stage, but I defeated the enemy leader before the "secret boss" could spawn into the map. That really should have been a separate battle. Annoyances as of: 1.0.2

You can't disable any relics you have. So anything that spawns an attack of some kinds, (arrow, rain, etc), will always occur whenever you click somewhere.
This can be a good/bad thing depending on if you want to attack the boss early.

Inventory: You have to trash things one at a time. There's no way to select multiple things and toss them.
Inventory: When you select a unit, you can't see what the item it has is buffing it with. You have to select the item to see what its stats are.

The secret boss fight is on the same map that you locate the last essence on, so if you defeat the boss before they appear, it adds 0 challenge to the fight. Free achievement though.

Not sure how to feel about this, but: The enemy leader won't stay behind the army that spawns when it has low health. Which can be good for you when the leader is a fast unit, and a nightmare of Bow Goddesses spawn in. Bugs as of: 1.0.2

After pausing the game, any sounds that are playing will play again all at the same time; which will make some sounds really loud, (Skeleton Tank attacks).
Directly swapping units doesn't always work. If you try and swap a benched unit for an active one and play a map, the benched unit will be missing.
If you have a relic that makes something rain, pausing will not stop the rain from spawning, only moving. So if you click and then pause, you'll get a lump of objects or a trail of them.
Fast units, (Skeleton Spiders), can attack and walk through some enemies occasionally. I'm not talking about the ones that get past the enemies bounced into the air.
It's just like with the glitch cultist's ability to go through enemies.

Go into the shop. Get a relic, and blood back. Go into Units page. Go back to the map. Go into the shop. Get another relic, and blood. Repeat.

If you use the bug above and don't select a relic, it will just keep rolling the same results.

Font is way too small for the graveyard secret. People with small screens, (Steam Decks, Nintendo Switches, etc) will have a hard time with that one.

Not all keyboards can handle 6 inputs at once.

Need help with the graveyard secret?
Here's a tip: View the last two bugs to get the graveyard secret.

For the dev: Your demo probably cannibalized a good deal of your sales. There should be a hard limit to the levels you can play on the demo.

The game play loop is good. The randomness of the encounters definitely makes or breaks some of the runs. This is much more noticeable on hard mode even though the only apparent differences are that the enemy commander gets invulnerability and spawns plenty of reinforcements once they get low enough. Speaking of which, it'd be nice to have a description of what makes 'hard mode' harder. It's not necessary, but at some points it doesn't seem any different than normal mode and the description would help. The relics are also a cool feature. They're just good. I have three issues with them (one I'll talk about in the spoiler section). Mostly it's with the amount of relics. I understand it's difficult to make a wide variety, so it's not a deal breaker of a problem. The second, much smaller issue, is the icons shown when rolling for relics. There's icons for relics you can't even get. Some are for the relics you can only get through combos and others are for other items obtained by other means, however, I believe I've seen a few which I can't get no matter what I try. This could be if those relics are unlocked with the last 3 achievements I've yet to get, but I'll edit this if that's the case. I have a love/hate relationship with the unit control system. It's easy to use and it gets the job done very well once you get your golden comp of units. The hate comes from when you need to micro manage the tank/melee, range, and commander units. It's not hard to select the specific units you want, but the few seconds it takes is enough for an explosion to wipe my rangers out XD. Not to mention the amount of times my commander went head first into the enemy army because I forgot to deselect them. This next one is a bug. I thought I'd report it here for now. Sometimes on normal mode, my commander doesn't spawn in. This could be a feature to make the game easier, but I can't tell. Lastly, the mysteries. I like that most secrets are found just my playing the game or reading some descriptions. They're literally sold to you in some cases (no micro-transactions required, not that this game has any). The title screen also hints at a few of the secrets to be discovered which is nice, but sometimes confusing. I definitely think some of them could use more... hinting at. ! ! ! SPOILER ALTER ! ! ! My other small issue with the relics is how few combinations there are. Being able to combine them for over powered effects (i.e. witch summon!) was a surprise, and greatly appreciated, but there aren't that many. This is understandable because there isn't an massive amount of relics in the first place, but if more relics are added I'd really like to see more combos.
