It would be pretty nice if the game ran smoother in a consistent way. It's pretty disappointing and distracting to have so much stuttering during gameplay. And is not a matter of power. With a 7800x3d(upgraded recently but haven't updated the steam specs yet) and a rtx4080, 32GB of ddr5 ram, this game should be a breeze. Also, and this is a personal thing, the position of the camera in-game feels very awkward. I'd also suggest the on onboarding experience got more work, it feels very sluggish compared to other initial experiences in the genre, like Runscpe DW, I feel like they solved this problem a little better, helping the player to learn the ropes in a more intentional way, through more precise goals. Those are my 2 cents. I look forward to the full game where I hope all of this is addressed. For now, I wouldn't recommend it yet.
The map is big, and there are tons of quests that you can do in almost any order. Skill tree is massive and your friends will not be the same as you guaranteed.
Enshrouded is a great exploration and build/crafting game. You can focus more on the exploration and character development (skill point distribution) than building, or you can focus more on the building. I'm not much of a builder in this game, so I the incredibly detailed cool stuff I've seen people do blew my mind, and at the same time, when you start to get used to the building, you notice the things people build are just simple, it's just that you need patience and to play a bit with creating patterns (and looking at reference to copy from). You can be a cool builder too! Unless you like to explore more instead and come back to your basic hut, like me! lol You progress the game by exploring, doing the guide quests, finding npcs that unlock crafting in theme with what their role is. How to unlock things specifically I am not totally sure, but the gyst of it, is that some trigger makes the npc gain a new quest, then you have to go fetch the in-world item to craft the thing for the npc, and boom you got a new crafting station... and then you can wait for the thing to spawn again to make another crafting station, if you need more than one to speed up materials processing (some you'll want more than one, others you only need 1 of for the rest of the game). I'm just saying, i think the pace of unlocking the next gated crafting tier thing is well done that it doesnt pressure you to go explore high level areas yet. You will have lots to explore in the current tier and lower tier areas, because the world is quite large. I give this game a solid 9/10, almost perfect.
Fun. Good stuff, albeit some annoying QoL things that should be baked into the game already. (1.0?) A little pointless later on when you've unlocked a lot of things, as there are too many things to do / tons of quests compared to what you can actually level to and unlock. Essentially, there is an abundance of things and no real reason to do them all. Hell for completionism, but heaven for casual. I think my biggest gripe about the game is the survivors being crafting stations thing and having to track them down/summon them with a limit. This game is especially fun with mods, because you can change everything you might dislike about it... and I mean nearly everything.
Jogo com minha namorada, nós gostamos muito !
DOGGGY
Game good. Big fun. Buy now. Play much.
The following are stated for solo play: Stamina regen is horrible. I have a decent build but when you get attacked more than one enemy, it starts to get disastrous. The main "feature" of game, "shrouds" feel really boring, annoying and I often found myself not wanting to explore them. I was "forced" to explore them for the required materials and so on. Also, the map progression feels weird. All of these could be somehow overlooked if it was not a kind of combat-heavy game. With this combat-heavy side and combat being an absolute drag to play with +1-2 enemies, the game quickly gets annoying unfortunately. The combat does not offer a real, meaningful challenge. It's just mostly annoying. When the combat system is annoying in a combat-heavy game, that's a bit problem imo. There are many good sides with this game. The sense of exploration, specially when you're fresh into the game is good. Also, the scenery is mostly beautiful. I'd say my opinion about this game is "mixed" in its current state. Be wary.
